I am leaving one of my jobs because it is getting way too hard with school. Does this letter of resignation I wrote seem professional enough, while emphasizing it is due to school and I would like to come back?

With this letter, I hereby submit my resignation from my position with Children’s Home Care Group as an on-call Home Care Assistant. Due to unforeseen schedule conflicts with my education, my last day will be January 10, 2007.
I would like to sincerely thank everyone at Children’s Home Care Group who has made me feel so welcome and helped me learn the new skills that will greatly help me in my future. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with the company and the case I was assigned.
I hope that in the future, should I have a more flexible school schedule, I can return to Children’s Home Care Group.

And name it after the person who died?

2007-12-27 13:58:32 · 10 answers · asked by Anonymous

On Christmas eve :(, and my mother in law is grieving. We are close, and I spent the past two days together including the day she died, we didnt talk much about it, it is hard for her and even though she was old, shes still really missing her. I want to do or give her something. I dont know what. Since we are close and its my husbands Grandmother (and i knew her pretty well also), is a card appropriate? I was trying to think of something not too sad but should i do more than just a card? Maybe I can write a poem, or frame a photo - I appreciate any ideas very much.

Thank you

Is it customary to call your aunts and uncles "Aunt Smith" or "Uncle Smith" even into adulthood?

I've heard kids call a 25 year old man Mr. Jones, and a 65 year old man Al. What determines the proper etiquette in this area?

is way beyond personal...(someone that has no Manners...)...so to not lie..would you just say.."I am uncomfortable with that question."...and just get up and walk away?.so they get the hint!!!!...or just say in a social setting...."My, i cannot answer that question!"...and the other person just acts like it was a regular question...what gives???

We are taking my sister out to dinner for her birthday. We invited her boyfriend to come along. She just left me a message, telling me she has invited 5 other people to join us. I thought it was rude of her to invite others. I called her back to let her know that we are treating her and her boyfriend to dinner and that we can meet her friends later for cocktails. Now she is mad at me and didn't respond to my message. Should we go ahead and make reservations and hope that she can get over it and meet us for dinner?

I have a problem...I can't let the things people say to me go. If someone cusses at me in traffic, I think about it for days! If someone is rude to me at work, I think about all day, and try to replay the scenario in my head and think about all the things I SHOULD have said. It's stupid things that don't even matter like this that keep my fuming for days! I can't let it go and just be like, "ok, that guy was an idiot." I just keep thinking about it and get more and more upset, long after the idiot is gone! Does anyone else have this problem? How do you let it go?

We have known each other for 15 years and lived together for 3 of them. We have remained close friends and see each other several times per month. I put alot of effort and thought into gifts and she gave me something that a stranger might give to someone.

I hate cooking, don't have dinner parties and keep away from the kitchen as much as I can...all my friends and family know this, it's just who I am. She gave me an oil and vinegar dispenser.

I normally would never say anything and would just let it go, but this gift has shocked and disappointed me; I feel like I got slapped in the face by a close friend. I don't think that I can pretend that I like it or that I'm not hurt. Was it just that she forgot who I am, was it that she doesn't care or was it a regift? How do I approach this? Help!

By the way, the gift I gave her was thoughtful and appropriate to who she is and I already received a near-tearful 'thank you' phone message.

When do you turn a blind eye?

On occasion I get social invitations from people who I do not like. I suspect they are inviting me out not because they have any love for me, but they just have no friends and are lonely. Their personality turns me off and I do not want to go out with them because I honestly do not like them.

If I tell them I am busy or make up another excuse, I would be lying. I am not busy I just do not like them. Would it be rude to be honest?

On occasion friends and I see celebrities or media people walking down the street. In some cases I feel like I know these people as well as my own friends and family but of course they do not know me. I saw a local weather-caster
(TV Meteorologist) once I have been watching for 20 years. He has been a regular visitor to my home so many years, but again he does not know me.

Would it be rude for me to approach him and talk?

In the last few days we have had a number of knocks on our door and ringing of our door bell (in our single family home) after dark. I usually never answer the door after dark unless we are expecting someone. Usually they will ring the door bell many times which is extremely irritating and a little scary.

When I do answer the door it is always a salesperson trying to convince me to buy something I do not want. I think it is not good manners to knock at someones door after dark.

What do you do?

My hubby got me one for Christmas, but as my wedding ring and engagement ring are quite wide, it looks a bit crowded on my wedding finger! Will it have the same effect on the third finger on my right hand instead?

There are guys where i work that constantly play cds or tapes of their favourite music eg heavy rock.

I reported this to my supervisor sometime ago that i couldn't concentrate on my work because of this. She spoke with her manager and it was agreed that only radio 1 could be played on the radio.

This happened and all was well, now the same is happening again. I feel like walking out. What is the law regarding the playing of music surely i shouldn't have to put up with this.

I'm a divorced mom of a 8 yr old son. My ex is remarried and I know his wife takes my son out shopping for his dad but i still like to get my son a little something to give his dad for holidays. For example this x-mas i got a nice frame that said " I love my daddy" and put in a photo i took of my ex and son together. What do you guys think about me doing this? In the 5 yrs of our divorce my ex never got my son a gift to give me (don't expect it) but am wondering if i'm wrong in doing this.

My best friend and I have people that live under us. On 2 or 3 seperate occasions I can hear the bass on their surround sound. It happens very late like 12 or 1 during the work week. I have to rise early usually around 5:15 or 5:30 M-F and I felt the noise was disrespectful. My room mate filed a complaint with the leasing office. Well today, there was a compliant on our door stating that we are too loud and walk heavy and vaccuming at 2am!!! I know that's a lie b/c I am usually in the bed by then but defineltly not vaccuming at that time...

In my opinion, they are mad and being spiteful b/c we complained against them! Also, I forgot to mention that the downstairs people smoke and I can smell it im our apt.

Any suggestions???
