The reason i am doing this is because my neighbor is hogging my bandwidth. So if i plug in the dial up line it will take hours to download large files.

They sell "locks" or some sort of device that keeps people from being able to use your wi fi, they had it at my old job. I'm sure any store that has anything to do with computers has this device, or it may even be a art of what you already have. Not really an etiqutte question though. I mean, it's not rude that you want to keep people from using it or anything.

Many current routers have a security feature that you can use to make it so that only computers that have the proper security key/password can use the signal. I think you'll worry a lot less if you get one of these routers, or turn on the feature if you already have one.

setup one router. with two connections, one hooked up to a dialup, the other to highspeed. have the dialup one automatically point to a webpage with a paypal box on it telling people that if htye want high speed, they have to pay.

Secure your wireless connection. They use it because you technically are letting them.

What to stop them?.. just say 'NO'.
