this was done ALOT back in the old days lol i have to admit i still do this once in awhile i just show it to the clerk as SOON AS SHE BEGINS TO CHECK ME OUT!!!!!

no explanation necessary. They are used to people eating their purchases. Just put the partially eaten item on the conveyor belt along with the rest of your groceries. She will ring it up and then either hand it back to you or put in the bag with the others.

I always just hand them the packaging. I usually always get a drink when I first enter the grocery store. 9 times out of 10, I'm finished with it by the time I reach check out. I hand them the empty bottle and ask them to throw it in the trash (which is usually at their feet) after ringing it up.

Just tell them at the check out (with a bit of an apology wold be nice)
Keep the packaging for them to scan or ring up the price.
I think yout honesty will be most welcome.

Remember too that you are likely to be monitored by cameras so your honesty would be expected.

You must eat it all up before you reach check out. Leave no evidence! Make sure the chocolate is not smeared all over your face and fingers. And, of course, crumbs of any sort, are a no no.

dont worry about it, i do this all the time. i give my boy a bread roll to eat on the way round to keep him quiet then tell the cashier to include it at the checkout.

I have low blood sugar, and needed a snack. Please ring up the c hesses, ect. I wouldnt do it with stuff that is by weight.
