Don't get me wrong. I'm not ultra-sensitive.

But what if someone consistently refers only to him/herself as if you don't (or didn't) exist? Could it be an oversight on their part? Does such a person feel he/she is being polite by only speaking for him/herself? Or is this self-centeredness when it happens excessively?

I'm referring to instances whereupon it is very clear that the subject matter at hand definitely includes more than just this one person.

For instance, my boyfriend & I always go to church together & his brother-in-law wanted to go- he invited him & then told me, "I invited him to go to church with *me*" (why not us?).

And when recounting a story that happened to both of us, it's "When *I* went to such and such place..."

One instance alone is not much, but when this idiosyncracy happens everyday.. it still seems too petty to bring up. What does it mean and what do you do, if anything?

Wasn't sure how to categorize this.

Thanks.

We are all friends going out for a good time but being that there are two girls and two boys, I don't want other guys to get the impression that we are double dating and that we have boyfriends. How should the seating arrangement be?

She has been here almost 2 months, and been trained on how to do her job and specific reports. She has been calling me into her office to help her with the reports that I have never seen or had training on. When she first came I couldn't stand the thought of training my own supervisor, but that's what I did. It seems like she is leaving early every other day, and coming in late the others.

About 3 weeks ago I heard that she was 4.5 months pregnant. Then earlier this week she came in here to tell us she had gone to the doctor that Monday and found out she was pregnant. She lied to us right there.

Yesterday she overheard me talking with another guy in the bathroom about how I was unhappy with some things here. A few minutes later she calls me into her office and asked if I wanted to give her my 2 week notice right there.

Later tha day her supervisor came in to meet with us. He told me the negativity had to stop, and if it didn't I would be let go.

What can I do?

I am organising a private firework party for next saturday, should I invite those kids and families who are less fortunate than myself ie not going to a display or bonfire, bearing in mind the laws for under18 possession/carrying of fireworks in public places and the potential for lax sensibility ie parents letting their offspring light and/or misuse fireworks? Some parents let their kids let off and misuse fireworks at private parties and if you try to stop them because things get out of hand/dangerous these lax parents step in and do-good for their kids saying "it's alright leave them alone they're only having fun."?

I have just witnessed one of the most disgraceful things I've seen on this site! A person with learning difficulties asked why people were being so mean and some of the responses were just downright nasty! If people want to be abusive then please go to another site where that is accepted, there are plenty out there. And to be so nasty to a person not as bright as yourselves ( although I seriously doubt some peoples mental capacity!) you should be damn well ashamed of yourselves. No doubt this will instigate a flood of vitriol from the less well reared of you out there but I don't have learning difficulties so I shan't take it to heart! :)

Actually it should be the contrary. You could be hiding a weapon, scratching your private parts or touching the lady next to you!

Do you remove the question?
