She is having twins. Does this change the rules? Always thought you were to have a baby shower for first child only?

From my understanding, a shower is to given because she's a NEW mom with her first child, thus needs stuff to take care of a baby. I've also heard of neccesity shower where diapers and such are given when the kids are a number of years apart. The negative responses I've gotten in person seem to think it IS tacky and just an excuse to get gifts. BUT I must admit twins are a whole different story and she may trull NEED more stuff.

Around here it is a shower per baby. Yes, she may have stuff from her first baby, but the new ones may be a different sex, and she'll need TWICE as much stuff.
I say go ahead and throw her one!!! And have fun!!!

Yes, I think it is proper. Every child is special, I don't think there should be a rule to just have a shower for your first child. The mother is going through the same as she did with the first child. If you feel it is wrong don't go, but they have every right to have a baby shower for any amount of children that a person has. That Mother and Child is still just as special, as the first time.

you at the instantaneous are not throwing for your self, besides doesn't each and each and every baby should be celebrated? I had a bath with each and each and every, I hadn't planned on one for my 2d yet acquaintances and relations insisted, fairly because it became a lady and they needed to purchase pink stuff. yet, i do not see how guidelines must be different once you've 2 an same sex. i visit assert i did not sign up for toddler 2 considering that I had the basics. In my community, we in a lot of situations have a "fill the freezer" bathe or "sprinkle" for 2d time moms so as that they might want to not ought to cook dinner with a toddler and a sibling underfoot. human beings deliver diapers or frozen nutrients and its more effective like an casual open abode.

I had a baby shower with each child.
My friends love to throw party's and love any excuse to do so.
There is nothing wrong with having a baby shower for an expecting mother, it makes her feel special and with her expecting twins, she will need as much as possible to get started.
Hope this helps.

Here it's a shower for every baby (not sure where you live). If that goes against tradition, who cares? If y'all want to have one then have one! Have fun!
