Yes, it is unusually to do such a thing. However, if you smell them to find a bad odor due to germs and decide to toss it, then my friend I will save you the time and effort: All magazines in doctor's offices have germs and therefore, are potentially odorful. So now you are "In the Know". I bet, I have saved you many future sniffs at the doctors office... hahahahaha

Definitely a little odd, and although I wouldn't consider myself a complete germophobe, I'd say it's inadvisable as well. If someone happened to sneeze over that magazine earlier before you sniffed it, well, that's just asking for another trip to the doctor's office.

I do that! I didn't realize anybody else did that lol! I used to like the way avon books smelt. How funny, I didn't think anyone else did that!!!!
