more kids just to pay the pensions of those nearing retirement? This just means more and more kids are needed to pay more and more pensions down the line.

I am doing a research paper on implementing Medicaid Waivers for seniors so they can live at home and receive long-term care at home instead of being in a nursing home in the state of Pennsylvania.

If you are a senior, I'd love to hear your thoughts. A state, first name, and an Age would also be incredible so I can use direct quotes.

I know they do this in a few other states (i.e. Vermont) if you are not necessarily a senior but have experienced the waiver program with a parent, grandparent, etc. I am also interested in your thoughts.

Thank you so much for your time! I know there must be a few seniors out there using the internet somewhere!

Marriage is not a word. It is a sentence--a life sentence.

Marriage is very much like a violin; after the sweet music is over, the strings are attached.

Marriage is love. Love is blind. Therefore, marriage is an institution for the blind.

Marriage is an institution in which a man loses his Bachelor's Degree and the woman gets her Masters.

Marriage is a thing which puts a ring on a woman's finger and two under the man's eyes.

Marriage certificate is just another word for a work permit.

Marriage is not just a having a wife, but also worries inherited forever.

Marriage requires a man to prepare 4 types of "rings":
* The Engagement Ring
* The Wedding Ring
* The Suffe-Ring
* The Endu-Ring

Patient: Doctor, I have a problem. I feel unhealthy and depressed. Doctor: You should cut down on drinks. Patient: I don't touch a drop. Doctor: You should cut down on smoking. Patient: I don't smoke. Doctor: You should stop taking drugs. Patient: I don't do drugs. Doctor: You should cut down on womanizing. Patient: Haven't touched a woman in my life. Doctor: In that case, get yourself a drink, learn to smoke, do some drugs, and find a couple of girlfriends.

Did you hear about the nurse who swallowed a razor blade? She gave herself a tonsilectomy, an appendectomy, a hysterectomy, and circumcised three of the doctors on her shift.

A young man was walking through a supermarket to pick up a few
things when he noticed an old lady following him around. Thinking
nothing of it, he ignored her and continued on. Finally he went to
the checkout line, but she got in front of him.

"Pardon me," she said, "I'm sorry if my staring at you has made
you feel uncomfortable. It's just that you look just like my son,
who just died recently."

"I'm very sorry," replied the young man, "is there anything I can
do for you?"

"Yes," she said, "As I'm leaving, can you say 'Good bye, Mother'?
It would make me feel so much better."

"Sure," answered the young man.

As the old woman was leaving, he called out, "Goodbye, Mother!"
As he stepped up to the checkout counter, he saw that his total
was £127.50.

"How can that be?" He asked, "I only purchased a few things!"

"Your mother said that you would pay for her," said the clerk.

I have several. The washer turns about 50 percent of the clothes wrong side out (and it seems the dryer does it to the other 50 percent!).

My favorite machine is the electric drill/screwdriver, but I keep forgetting to flip the switch when I change functions.

And then there's always the PC. 'Nuff said.

Shlepping my suitcase from one temporary accommodation to another, I`ve become an embarrassment to myself and to everyone else.

Emma Tennant`s jacket cover brings it all home.

Not entirely my fault however; as living outside London is too damn inaccessible and living within the city precincts too damn expensive.

The experiences I did have with regard to living in lower-middle-class environments haven`t encouraged me to try it again, as there was bullying, intimidation, etc.

Anyone have any suggestions?

I work for a pharmacy filling medications for several nursing homes. I sometimes delivery meds as well. Since then I have met a very likeable resident at a home near me. We chatted briefly but enough to know that she is very coherant. I would like to visit about once a week or every two weeks but besides conversation does anyone have any ideas on things we can do? I am sure she will love to just sit and talk but I don't want her to become bored.
Any suggestions?

You need to be careful. There is a Nigerian ring that uses skimming or use of an electronic credit card reader to get your information and steal your ID. I don't give my credit card to the waiter or waitress anymore. I just make sure I have cash before I go.

They had a segment about the hate "church" that pickets funerals. The creepiest, most awful thing was hearing the children use language I wouldn't dream of using, and spreading the hate just as much if not more than the adults! That is scary and sickening. Did anyone else watch it?
