To me I think of someone sick and frail, which does NOT describe most 60+ year olds I know.

It's more fitting to my fellow college students, who can't afford to eat and walk around campus pale with bulging tonsils and no time to make an appoitment with Student Health.

I try to use "Senior Citizen" instead. Anyway, what are your thoughts? How do you prefer to be categorized, when it's necessary of course. I know we are all individuals with names!

A boy was assigned a paper on childbirth and asked his mother, "How was I born?"
"Well honey..." said the slightly prudish mother, "the stork brought you to us."
"Oh," said the boy, "and how did you and daddy get born?"
"Oh, the stork brought us too."
"Well how were grandpa and grandma born?" the boy persisted.
"Well darling, the stork brought them too!" said the mother, by now starting to squirm a little.

Several days later, the boy handed in his paper to the teacher who read with confusion the opening sentence: "This report has been very difficult to write due to the fact that there hasn't been a natural childbirth in my family for three generations."

I'd love to get her something special. If you've been through chemo, what was helpful or useful? I live 8 hours away so helping her with meals, chores, etc. is difficult. I've sent some nice meals through a catalog but now I learn she's not eating much. Thanks in advance.

It was a dark comedy that came out in 1964. British movie with Peter Sellers. That movie has remained as one of my all time favorites. Were you able to follow the story line? Did it leave you wondering "could this really happen"? Can national defense be in the hands of such weird people?

Green, Green Grass
And of course, the best is saved for last: A nurse was on duty in the Emergency Room, when a young woman with purple hair styled into a punk rocker Mohawk, sporting a variety of tattoos, and wearing strange clothing, entered. It was quickly determined that the patient had acute appendicitis, so she was scheduled for immediate surgery. When she was completely disrobed on the operating table, the staff noticed that her pubic hair had been dyed green, and above it there was a tattoo that read, "Keep off the grass." Once the surgery was completed, the surgeon wrote a short note on the patient's dressing, which said, "Sorry, had to mow the lawn."

Bottle of wine

A woman and a man are involved in a car accident on a snowy, cold
Monday morning; it's a bad one. Both of their cars are totally
demolished but amazingly neither of them are hurt. God works in
mysterious
ways.

After they crawl out of their cars, the man is yelling about women
drivers. The woman says, "So, you're a man. That's interesting. I'm
a
woman. Wow, just look at our cars! There's nothing left, but we're
unhurt.
This must be a sign from God that we should be friends and live in
peace
for
the rest of our days".

Flattered, the man replies, "Oh yes, I agree completely, this must be a
sign from God!" But you're still at fault...women shouldn't be
allowed
to drive.

The woman continues, "And look at this, here's another miracle. My
car
is completely demolished but this bottle of wine didn't break. Surely
God wants us to drink this wine and celebrate our good fortune."

She hands the bottle to the man. The man nods his hea

My grandad is in his late 70's and had a flu jab about a week ago. Well now he is ill and in bed and hasn't wanted to eat anything for about a few days. He says he can't really move his arms and legs and is already thin before this happened. My question is, has this ever happened to you, and how did you get over it, how long were you ill for etc. Please tell me your experiences. thanks.

Naked charity ramblers have complained that the long arm of the law was too heavy-handed in marshalling their fundraising walk.

The group of about 20 walkers was reportedly followed by 10 officers, patrol cars and a helicopter on a 20-mile hike along the path in Dorset.

They were walking from Swanage to Lulworth Cove on June 2 to raise money for the Marine Conservation Society.

But senior police decided the group posed a public risk and marshalled the naturists under a carefully-planned operation codenamed Thistle.

Amoing those who are stinging about the police is Bernard Boase, 63, who was asked to cover up by a police officer halfway through the walk.

He refused and was arrested and charged with harassment - but the case was later dropped because of a lack of evidence.

"The police harassed us far more than we could have harassed anybody else by our presence," said Mr Boase.

He claimed passers-by happily greeted the ramblers, who were wearing just rucksacks a

intelligent. I have had a boil on my foot for 6 months and the doctor is hopeless at trying to fix it. That is the things seniors should talk about, intelligent things. Well said Susie Q and Cherry P1.
