You are the future and we want to give you an edge. We are mainly concerned with helping out the young so that they don't commit some of the errors we did. And like a great Y/A senior (SLK92406) said, "we don't bite". LOL Yes we have grandchildren. We love to share the past. We are a resource of knowledge, wisdom and experience. Tap into it.

Bless your heart.
We have all been where you are. You don't have a clue about us.
But, believe it or not. You will.
We do love humor though..no doubt about that.
We just don't choose to direct it towards the ones who are still too young to take it.
How could you possibly know....just what the number 1 thing is that we do?
That would be like saying that the number one thing that "13 year old's" do ...is to try to deal with insecurity.
Enjoy the funny stories, we do.

Is it a crime for the elderly to speak to kids? So you know at least 10 funny stories about kids & their "encounters" with the elderly. What's so funny about that? You have a lot to learn & a lot of growing up to do. Please don't come here & INSULT the people here. Read your question to your mother. I'll bet she'd like to see just how disrespectful you've been here tonight. Boy, do you have a lot to learn. The # 1 thing I do is NOT talking to 13 y/o smarty pants.

The older you get the more the inhibitions fall away. You end up feeling more free to speak to people than you did when you were younger. Plus you so enjoy the antics of the young, and the conversation. Enjoy it. It means someone is appreciating you for what you are in that very moment.

'Cause there's nothing more special in this world than our kids and our kids kids, God grant the life and our great and great-great grandkids are gonna rank way up there to. Kids represent our memories and dreams, not to mention that they look pretty darn perky and a lot of their actions are just plain amusing.(most kids are courteous and will hold an intelligent conversation -- much is gained on both sides of the age barrier.)

There are some of us who have seen and made many mistakes in life and it is our hope that if we can find one of you young-uns who will listen to us we may be able to save you from one or two of our mistakes, giving you a leg up on life.
As someone else said earlier when you get to be our age you will look back and wonder, just like most of us do, where the years have gone.

Are you curious or are you complaining?? Well at least you have funny stories to share with friends!! We talk to kids because we know more than you and get a kick out of it, and/or We know that childhood is the best time in your life so we want to interact with you, or We love kids! or maybe some of them are perverts...so watch who you talk to!! lol!! No- but seriously watch who you talk to. Older people really do love kids, and it really is the best time of your life! So her is some sage advice for you...don't try to grow up too fast...because you will be old a long long long time. Enjoy each year, month, day, week, hour, minute...because it goes by fast! God Bless!

I'm a teacher and I happen to like kids. It's usually reciprocal and the kids I talk to are usually former students or neighbors. Almost every teacher I know has at least 100 funny stories about encounters with kids!

Hint: learn punctuation...and the word is 'encounters' not incounterships.
Maybe that's why older people talk to you; to try to HELP you grow and learn; or maybe just extend a friendly hand. No law that prevents folk of certain ages from communicating. Try it - you may learn to like and appreciate it.

Honey, tonight you'll close your eyes and sleep...very soon when you wake you'll be 60yrs. old. You'll STILL be you but a matured you.. Yes, they'll be changes....wrinkles, poor eyesight and gray hair. More importantly all that living will have caused a paradigm shift and your perspective will be different.
I hope when that day comes you'll think of this night on YA when you consulted the 'Seniors" and they tried to teach you what you couldn't understand.
They speak because they want to be kind to you.
May God bless you with all you need. Juju
