I do right sock, right shoe and left sock, left shoe.
If you are a senior citizen,is it getting harder to get those knees crossed or the shoes tied?

Right sock, left sock.
Grab whichever shoe is nearest to me, put it on and tie it.
Put on other shoe and tie it.

Then take off shoes because I realize I forgot to put on pants.

Yes, it sure is. So I don't wear shoes that have to be tied, due
to back trouble and leg and feet swelling. So I wear shoes I
can just slip into and forget about it all. When I was wearing
socks, I put the sox on both feet, usually my left one first,
and then the right. And the same following, with the shoes.
But there wasn't a rule. Sometimes I'd reverse and put my
right sock on first and then the left. And maybe put my left
shoe on first. There was never any set order. Some people
are creatures of habit, and do the same routine I suppose.

Someone asked this question a while back and I have been paying attention since then. I put my left shoe and sock on first and then the right. I really feel uncomfortable to do it the other way.

Sitting on the side of my bed: Get left ankle up onto right leg, put sock and then shoe on left foot. Tie it while it's there if it needs to be tied. Put that foot down, get the right ankle up onto the left leg, put on right sock and shoe, etc. Yes, it is more difficult than it used to be!

Having 2 left feet and one right, I usually do the right sock first then the left ones, then the shoes. Having 3 feet gives me somewhere to use the sock whose pard was eaten by the washing machine aliens.

Socks? I'm another barefoot or sandle-wearing Floridian.

When I must wear shoes and socks (typically work boots and socks)......

Left sock, right sock, right boot, left boot....

I can still bend my knee enough to put my socks on while seated. I have started using a chair or stool to get my boots on and tied or zippered.

I wear knee-high hosiery, wide-legged size. Socks are too tight on my feet and ankles. Anyway, always left hose first, then right hose. Then right shoe, then left shoe. I do all of this while sitting on the end of my bed, because I can no longer balance on one foot while putting on anything!

No socks. Saves on laundry. Get shoes, sit on chair, put on shoes at the same time.

Hit the floor running.

My queen bed sits on the floor. I sit on the bed to be closer to the floor and easier to put shoes and socks on and it changes whenever I put them on or take them off. Variety is the spice of life and the little things help. Now I have to ask a question based on this question?

left sock, right sock, then whatever shoe is closest. Don't cross or bend real well, and buy slip-on shoes and use a long shoe horn.
