I hope you are not tired of my asking this. I am surprised and gladened by some of the replies.
I spent time in the garden, even got out the scythe and cut the lawn
My new plants [ my Yahoo family friends] are doing well.Had lunch with friends on Saturday; today, Sunday, visited a favorite park and comuned with my late partner. My world is full of love now. I hope yours is as well. For those feeling down, once again lean on me for support.

I am in my 30's and I have lead a "straight" life; but every day that passes; I feel like I am dying a bit more... I cannot tell my family how I feel; they would never be able to accept me as a gay person... How do I stop this pressure that is building inside? Please.....

I want to start a gay club at my college that focuses on showing lgbtq and straight people that gay people are a part of society just like everyone else. My aim is to interact with other clubs such as BSU, Hispanic Pride, Campus Crusade, in coordinating events and activates that shows not only what the culture has done as a hole, but what the gay people in that culture have done. So any ideas?

Living relatives and dead ones -- it doesn't matter. It seems there is a constant denial and coverup going on in families. What's your opinion?

ME- I don't know why everyone can't accept others for their choices, There is an enormous difference between murderers and homosexuals, many people make allusions to that so don't.

I came out about two years ago--I'm almost twenty now. I have an ob/gyn that I see for pelvics and bc and everything (I'm on bc to regulate my periods). I'm wondering if I should tell her about my orientation? I trust her and everything--I'm sure she wouldn't freak out or anything, but I'm still a little nervous, because my family flipped out. I haven't ever had sex (kind of embarassed about that), but I guess I'd like her help with making sure I avoid STD's and all that crap when I do, because I have no clue about how to do that with les sex. Do you think I should tell her? What should I say? Do you think she'll be knowledgeable about safe les sex? (Sorry about all the questions--I go to this anti-gay college and I'm pretty cut off from the gay community here.) Any personal experience/knowledge would help. Thanks so much!

As a young gay man, I am really having trouble with the hate and ignorance out there. It makes me SO mad, but I don't want to be mad. I think we gays are a lot of fun. I just think we have a lot to give the world. If I wasn't gay, I would want to be gya, or at lest spend time with gays. I just wish we could be seen for the people we truly are. I am proud of all you that stand up for our rights! Glad to be a part of such a wonderful minority - rather be one of us than one of them anyday!

I hear from many people, mostly from gay guys, that their sexuality does not play a huge role in their lives. I tend to disagree with this and I am also a gay guy.

I believe that most gay men that I know revolve around their gayness. They illustrate this by gathering at gay bars every weekend and attending gay functions. I don't think anything is wrong with these activities, but if these men were straight their social lives would be totally different. And it goes beyond just the weekend gay hot spots. Gay men also tend to be more creative and have similar traits. Their apartments are all decked out and their sense of style is excellent. I know this is NOT true for all gay men, but a vast majority of them that I know live, speak and eat gay. And, again, this is not a bad thing.

I think that we gay guys should just come out and say..yes we are gay and yes my sexuality is a big part of my life. It's just who we are.

I posted a question a few days ago about the phrase "Straight acting". In the question I used the word f@g....apparently that was enough to get me warned and get my question removed.

With all the other garbage on here how does that make sense????

And then when I tell them I'm NOT, they INSIST that I AM!!! I mean, I think I'd know me better than anyone else. The truth is, I'm a female to male transsexual. So, I'm not sure if I should be flattered (because they think I'm a guy, just a gay one) or if I should be frustrated because it happens SO much. I don't even like going out to the gay clubs with my friends anymore cuz I get hit on by a gay guy EVERY time. Not that I'm homophobic towards gay men, PLEASE PLEASE don't get that impression. I'm very very gay friendly. However, I live in a very conservative place, Texas, to be exact, and it seems here with people, that if you are well educated, cultured, have good manners, treat people with respect, and speak in a slightly tenor range, and enjoy things like art, theatre, philosophy, fine wines and dining, and dress well that you MUST be gay. What should I do? I LIKE the fact that I like what I like, I don't want to be a typical guy, but I'd also like to attract a GIRL.

To gay people:

I know full well gay men are born this way, and so on, but I always wondered: are *effeminate* gay men born this way, or is it something they learn by hanging around other men like this. I mean is that specific expression of gayness due to nature or nurture?

Why do republicans/christians/homophobes like to compare gay love to the "love" between a grown man and a young child? Or the "love" between a person and an animal? They think that if they legalize gay marriage they would have to legalize these to? Why? they're nothing like gay love, because in a gay relationship both partners want to get married and love eachother. Petaphiles manipulate the children into loving them, and when the child grows up they're totally messed up. And with animals...well the animal has no idea what the hell is going on and since when can an animal sign a marriage contract? Come on people get smart and let my friends get married damnit!
