I'm going to run with your 75% number, here - not saying I think it's right or wrong. Definitely more than 25% of the US people are democrats, so clearly there are democrats against gay marriage. But if you look, you'll find that it's a much smaller percentage of republicans that are for gay marriage. That holds true for other legislation related to gays too - even if they're a minority, still more democrats than republicans back legislation that's good for the GLBT population. Also, you can pretty much always tell whether a bill was initiated by a republican or democrat based on whether it's pro- or anti-gay. 95% of the time, maybe more, pro-gay bills are introduced by democrats and anti-gay bills are introduced by republicans.
I don't hate republicans. I like some "republican" platform items more than "democrat" ones. But I just can't vote for someone who's going to try to take away my rights, or keep me from having rights.

They aren't. The GOP has numerous gay workers, but a lot of them are not out of the closet to everyone because of the party's stand on gay-related issues. There is also a group called Log Cabin Republicans, and the members are gay Republicans. Hey, even the creator of Desperate Housewives is a gay Republican. Most gays, however, are not Republican because they obviously support gay rights and occasionally, just like from the other side, some hatred is shown because of how strongly they believe in what they think they deserve as human beings.
Edit: You say it's not facts and just emotion, yet you fail to provide any sources, let alone credible ones.

The problem might not be the answerers but the questioner. I *could* say that all of the reasons that the U.S. entered into WWII were crap and a bunch of people were just complaining about some minor attack on Hawaii and that the Holocaust was nothing that we should have interfered in. You can dismiss any answer you want as mindless whining if you wanted. It's sometimes considered being close-minded.
The thing with the GOP is that they are mostly socially conservative and are against giving the GLBT community equal opportunities to peruse the American Dream. Many would even prefer to see us all put to death as spawn of "the devil."

Republicans have been painting gays as the mob at the gate for years. They pander to Pat Robertson, Jerry Falwell types who have claimed we are to blame for, well, just about damn near everything bad in the world. No, the list of reasons is so long that it's hard to know where to start. From Anita Bryant's crusade to block/repeal equal protection clauses for GLBT's to Jessie Helms' gay baiting in 1984. Ronald Reagan's complete indifference to the AIDS crisis. Then there was the whole "don't ask, don't tell" fiasco. Oh, did I mention the time (June 1998) Log Cabin Republicans sent delegates to the Texas GOP Convention and were greeted with rocks and bottles and signs too obscene for television to broadcast? Oh and the time the entire audience of republicans turned their backs on Rep. Jim Kolbe (R-AZ) (the gay one). Then there was the time, they blamed gays and lesbians, along with some other Americans, for the 9/11 terrorist attacks. I could go on and on and on and on, but you should get the point by now. If gays hate republicans, they have a damn good reason to because the republicans have been using us to get re-elected for years.

I'm not anti-Republican, I'm anti-bigot. But most of the bigots are Republican, so you see the problem. People against Gay Marriage isn't 75%, and you know that they didn't poll the entire USA, so don't pretend that that is an honest and strong statistic. Here's something for you to chew on...63% of Americans under 30 support Civil Unions. That's a statistic from the HRC. See, crediting sources is fun!!!

Its humorous. But really actually being homosexual is a individual factor, that being the case it's no person else however the individuals which are homosexual individual trade. I don't believe being homosexual influences the form of man or woman you're in public. I additionally believe that if you're in opposition to being homosexual however train it your self that's worse then the dull rates they pull from the bible that supposedly outlaws homosexuality. What those idiots that hold forth miss out on that they don't seem to be god, as a result they don't seem to be intended to pass judgement on since they'll no longer be reward in the course of judgment day. The best time those idiots can be president for judgment day is on their possess judgment day. We are people we will be able to both are living peacefully with each and every or we will be able to ruin each and every different. Maybe that is what gods message is. Maybe god sends us extraordinary messages in extraordinary religions. Do those nut circumstances ever believe of that? Maybe that's the entire factor of existence traditionally. To aid your neighbor, to regard others the best way you desire to be handled, to not be judgmental, to not be materialistic, love any individual for romance no longer lust,

The question depends on how you define Republican. If the Republican Party concentrated on its original principals of being fiscally conservative there would not be much opposition from gay people. Instead, the Republican party seems to have abandoned its fiscal policy and chosen to demonize gay people for the sole purpose of gaining votes from evangelical voters with the hopes of large voter turnouts to keep their party in power. It is not a question of why gay people have abandoned Republican candidates, but why Republican candidates have abondoned gay people.

oh man,
well first off I think that any sane and educated gay/lesbian, woman, racial minority, and poor or even middle classed person should NOT VOTE republican. True research of history and review of capatilism and the world we know created around it would make anybody revolt them.
the agenda of a republican is revolved around themselves. they would sell their souls if they could (most democrats too).
money=power and that is all they care about and you might rebuttle with the thought's that nobody is that evil and I don't think I'd have to remind you of all the other power hungry and evil people ever to grace this earth.
They aren't against gay marriage or "civil unions" fundamentally but only because it wouldn't make them as much money as a straight marriage would. think of all the hubbub when little sally and bobby get married. presents and the expensive wedding, the honeymoon...they purchase a house have children...they consume much more than two gay people ever would. Think about it...billions of people in the world and they offer tax cuts up the butt for people to have kids...with as much as us americans consume would should be telling people they can't have more than one kid. It has nothing to do with the moral fabric that the hardcore bible belt cares so much about and it has nothing to do with not advancing human rights but it all revolves around $$$
and with republicans especially money talks and **** walks...just look it up.

Because Republicans are so against them. It is the Republicans who are trying to pass all these agressive anti marriage laws. Imagine if you loved someone, and there was a group of people who not only was trying to tell you that your love was wrong, that you were wrong because of it, but was trying to make it so that it would be AGAINST the constitution and law for you to marry that person. How do you think that would make you feel about that group of people? That is what Gays have to deal with every day!

Very simply because of the republican backing of anti-gay laws and measures including those that would establish civil unions, void contracts that in any way simulate rights found in a marriage(as in the laws in Virginia) and so on.
