im 13 f usa. 8th grade need too tell my friends im bi. how can i tell them and get maturity from them? not ewww and stuff.

Why do you need to tell them? Did they come out and tell you they were straight? No. So live your life, love who you want and when you are introducing your hot girlfriend to your friends they can get the picture. Anyone who disses you is NOT someone you want in your life.

Taylor, the people on here were once 13 years old. Your friends are too young to understand the concept of bisexuality in others. And if you did feel compelled to tell someone, I suggest you be very selective as to who you tell, like a school counselor.

Here's a big rule about friendship that I had to learn the hard way as an adult: Friends do not tell each other everything. I hinted at my sexual orientation to a close,long-time friend (my best friend) and the friendship was destroyed. She could not take it. She could not accept the fact that the friend she had known for many years was not exactly the way she thought he was.

I have found that I only let out my true sexual orienation to a very few people, and they are most often men like myself who are not straight (gay, bisexual, "experimenting"). For absolutely no reason would I self-label myself at 13 and spread that around. You can't trust people at that age to keep a confidence. Self-acceptance is actually more important than acceptance from others anyway.

You might start a general topic about boyfriends and all and then tell it as if it's nothing. Just as you'll say that you like dancing. You might get the 'eww' look but just ignore them and ask what's wrong in being a bi. Then you can tell them that there's nothing wrong in bisexuality and they need to be mature about it and not kiddish (trust me, this maturity thing works!). Tell them that u people are too small to understand this, and they'll atleast pretend to understand. ;-) All the best!

Since you're so young, and it's normal for the younger crowd to react with an "eww"... that's what you'll probably get. I didn't tell any of my friends that I was gay until I was 16. They always hoped that it was "just a phase"; but oh well. Youre not here to please others, its your life... if people dont like how you live it, than screw them. =) Your friends will most likely be grossed out, but thats because most youngsters are closed minded... eventually, after a while, they'll have to deal with it.

just be your self and tell them hay . i need to be me and tell them that you are bi . you cant expecet them to like it just ask for there respect and understanding . that is what i did when i came out as a transsexual girl i had to tell my mom and dad and bros. that i was going to have my sexchanged and be a girl most of my friends supported me the ones that did not well i guss thay where not real friends .

You are 13 and in school. DO NOT reveal to your classmates your sexual orientation unless you are prepared to be ostracized for years to come. There will come a time in the not too distant future when you will be able to out yourself to your friends but this age...this time...and this place is not when you should do it. Please don't!!!!

Impossible. the only thing you can do is tell them what you feel. No one can state what their reactions will be, not even you. All you can do is say it, hope for acceptance. And if you don't get acceptance, screw 'em, they were never truely your friends anyway.

Well,sweetie if they are true friends it won't matter to them. But since they are 13 They are probably not going to understand your choice. Either way don't hide who you really are.=}
