I just had a flashback to some place, and there was a woman there. (http://www.wspa.de/campaigns/bushmeat/images/goodall.jpg )

I was all hairy and no one understood me! They were trying to get me to play with a cat...which is why, I assume, I have 2 cats in my house now...

I believe we were once monkeys now too!

Can anyone else come up with an explanation?

Say for instance it's a husband and wife run nail salon, or a single-person doing massages. Do you pay the given price, or add gratuity, knowing they get 100%?

First of all is drinking alcohol okay, as long as you don't get drunk?

And where in the bible does it talk about using drugs and smoking being wrong.

Shouldn't it be wrong to eat certain types of food. that are bad for you.

Please answer seriously.

and just go ahead and kill each other. No more gods or flags to blame- we just all want to see everyone we meet perish beneath our feet. Bow down to the great god blood and shed the vestiges of righteousness.

I am gay, and I know for certain that I didn't choose to be this way. I don't hesitate to tell you this because I know that I cannot help it. If it were a choice, I would have no reason to be gay in this world where straight people look down upon people like me. I know for a fact that I did not make a concious descision to be a homosexual.

So why do some (still) consider it to be a bad thing? I don't think having a partner of the same gender will have a negative effect on anyone, but I do think irresponsible, unprotected sex will.

I hope you have at least read the work of Martin Luther before you answer. Did he believe in the veneration of Mary?

And incidentally, veneration and worship are completely different things.

Is it normal that even though I love the Lord and want to serve him that I struggle with things, I know the Bible says when you are a new creation in Christ the old is gone and the new has come.

My question is is it normal to struggle as a christian with various issues even though I love the Lord with all my might?

Do you beleive that everything gets overcome on earth or do you beleive some things wont be healed or resolved until we die and go to heaven?

This question was heavy on my mind so I thought I would ask and thank you in advance for your answers.e4g

All people, even the most wise and compassionate, struggle with pre-judging people based on their looks, culture, and religion.

Have you ever felt negative thoughts toward a certain religion (prejudice), only to find your views changed when you got to know someone from that particular faith? If so, why do you feel your views changed?

Or...have you ever developed a friendship with someone who had a negative view of your religion...that is, until they met you?

Peace be with you.

Just wondering what's the difference in pronunciation between þ and ð in Icelandic. It seems they both have a "th" sound in English, like in 'the' or 'thick'.

Is christian doctrine decided by popular vote?

The words of Jeremiah the son of Hilkiah, of the priests that were in Anathoth in the land of Benjamin.

Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. (Jeremiah 1:1,4-5)

We are the children of the LORD your God: ye shall not cut yourselves, nor make any baldness between your eyes for the dead. (Deuteronomy 14:1)

I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High. (Psalms 82:6)

Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein: (Isaiah 42:5)

Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it. (Ecclesiastes 12:7)

Anyways, I am 25, she's about 50 something. I had bought my first car in April...a G35 coupe, and I bought a cross to put in my car (she works at People's The Diamond Store). She told me to come by the next day and she'll give me a vail of holy water as well to sprinkle on my car.

In September, a driver did a hit and run. My car was entirely destroyed....I collided with a semi truck. The police can't catch them...though they've tried. My roof was mostly sliced off, the passenger side was crushed, so was the back. Where I was sitting though....I didn't even have a scratch....I just opened my car door and walked out. The police, ambulance all said I should've been decapitated. Only 6 inches of the roof was intact...where I was sitting. I've already thanked her, but maybe I should get a belated Xmas present?

Anyways...I don't even know her name....but I feel I should get her something....but what? What do you suggest?
