Certainly, as long as He remains the most important thing to you, and as long as the well being of a nest of birds doesn't become more important to you than a child who is dying of starvation.

If so, does that mean that constructing a plan to divert an asteroid on a collision course with Earth is blasphemous?
Allowing the asteroid to hit the Earth, would be in essence preserving nature, considering the lack of human intervention.
Some would argue that mankind is a result of nature, making every tendency towards self-preservation natural.
Only through the lens of religion can the world be perceived as black and white. I think this is why I fail to adopt one.
I suppose the relevant question here is, "What is nature?"

The core issue is preserving, nurturing and caring for the nature and as long as we understand and go about doing it right, that's what really matters. This wider scope is necessary so that every body, including atheists etc become inclusive in it.

Yes I believe that is one way of looking at it. Also, our body is the temple of our soul. If we want to honor God we keep the temple of our souls as well as possible. And to do this we must live green. I read the bible and go to church, I am thus called a religious fanatic, I try to live green, now I am also called obsessed with nature and a health nut. We need to discard the lables. They are only name calling because they dont want to take the time to go green and go to church as well.

It certainly seems that way to me. Though I cherish nature and our planet no matter who created it.
