I usually just leave them on, it makes it easier to return if necessary.

Leaving the price tag on a gift you are giving to someone is a real faux pas. What you should do is remove the tags, staple them to the receipt from the store, and if the item doesn't fit or isn't what the recipient wanted, you can take the present back and exchange it for something that pleases them more.

I suggest snipping the price off or peeling off the sticker that says "$14.99" or whatever but keep the actual tag on and maybe the store name. Also most stores will give you a gift reciept if you request one the gift recipt has all of the info to return an item without the recipent knowing the price

Remove the price tags! If you bought something expensive you just come across as bragging. It's even worse If you bought something expensive, but got it at a discount (not reflected in the price tag) then you come across as a braggart and a liar. Remove the tag and include the gift receipt with the gift.

You cut the price tag off at the price. Leave the barcode on the tag and leave it attached to the article of clothing. This way, the store can scan the item and know if it was purchased and not stolen if it needs to be returned or exchanged.

I remove the price tags before I wrap the gift. I keep the receipt though, so that the person can change the gift if they want to.

I normally take them off or go over them with a black marker if I can't get them off before I give the gift. It's tacky to give a gift with the price tag still attached.

I mark out the price but make sure to leave the UPC CODE! Many tags have perforated sections with the price on them that you can take off.

I cut them off. It's good to keep the prices off. People wouldn't know if you give them cheap gifts then... :D
