You are normal !!! 2 Corinthians 12 : 9 - 10 ... And He said unto me , " MY GRACE IS SUFFICIENT FOR THEE : FOR MY STRENGTH IS MADE PERFECT IN WEAKNESS " . Most gladly therefore I rather glory in my infirmities , that the power of Christ may rest upon me . Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities , in reproaches , in necessities , in persecutions , in distresses for Christ`s sake : for when I am weak , then I am strong . ( * ( Go to the Lord in humble Prayer asking God to carry your burden for you ! Once you ask God to help you in Prayer with a problem , then you are to forget about it and stop trying to solve it yourself , and let God handle it for you ! If ask for God`s help in Prayer , and you continue to try and solve your problem on your own ; then that basically lets the Lord know you have no Faith in Him solving your problem and you won`t see any results from your Prayer ! ) * ) About taking something into Heaven that is not pure will not happen , so no ; there is nothing to be resolved once you get to Heaven ; so remember to read in * Revelation 21 : 4 ..And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes ; and there shall be no more death , neither sorrow , nor crying , neither shall there be anymore pain : for the former things are passed away ... *

Being a Christian is a daily struggle between our worldly desires and our heavenly ones...and I don't think that struggle ever ends so yes, some things will still be with us until we die. Yes, you are a new creation in Christ, and you will get to see the fullness of that creation in God's kingdom. Until that time though, he made it pretty clear that we have to continue living in this world.
It is quite normal and natural to find the balance between "in the world" and "not of the world" difficult. If it were easy, then Paul wouldn't have needed to write all his letters to the early Christians helping them to understand what this means. God knows that as a human being, even one transformed into a new creation capable of entering his kingdom, we are subject to all sorts of human desires and drives. I'd go so far as to suggest that he gave us those characteristics precisely because he wants us to learn to control them...to use them for his purpose.
Learning is always a struggle, if you do it right that is! If you love the Lord and want to serve him, focus on learning what that means one step at a time. Pick something you struggle with today and focus on that...take it to him and ask for his help...and be prepared to follow his advice even if you don't understand it fully. It isn't easy, but it is worth it...if you're particularly stubborn like me, it make take years but when you finally overcome a particular struggle, the rewards will make it all worth while!

Good question! I think that as long as we are in a human body, we will struggle with issues and things. And yes, I do think this is a normal condition for us. I also believe God understands our struggles.
We are a new person when we accept Christ but we're still human. Even Jesus struggled in the garden over what He was about to face.
We are made overcomers through Jesus and with God's help but some things we just aren't going to understand until we get to heaven. I hope this helps....Blessings!

It is not only normal but temptation is even stronger for a Christian because satan is doing all he can to beat you down. He doesn't have to beat down those who have already rejected Jesus and follow the sinful life in every way they can ~ he already has them in his clutches.
Some temptations can also be avoided by making friends with those who believe the way you do and by not going to places you may have gone to before that wouldn't be pleasing to God. The more you tell yourself no, the stronger you will become so take it a step at a time and stay strong and don't let others try to get you to do things you know are wrong. Those are the kind of people you need to stay away, those who can't respect your beliefs.
Years ago my aunt was baptized (immersion) and became a Christian and the one thing she wanted to quit immediately was smoking, as she felt it a very un-Christian thing to do since we are supposed to take care of our bodies. Everytime she was tempted, she pulled out her Bible and started reading. She got so engrossed in the stories that she forgot all about wanting to smoke and in no time, the temptation was less and less.
It's mind over matter. Make up your mind to be strong and follow Jesus and the temptations won't matter after a while :)

Oh yes it is normal.... Everybody struggles with something, just because we love the lord, doesn't mean we aren't human, and have human thoughts, etc.... You are a new creation in Christ, and that means he is there to help you thru it.. before you didn't rely on him... but you still are human, and thank God, we have Jesus, to save us from all of these struggles everyone goes thru.... I don't know about the things being healed all on earth, I believe it will all be healed in heaven though.... Happy New Year

My answer is Paul's own struggle:
Romans 7:14-25 We know that the Law is spiritual. But I am merely a human, and I have been sold as a slave to sin.
In fact, I don't understand why I act the way I do. I don't do what I know is right. I do the things I hate.
Although I don't do what I know is right, I agree that the Law is good.
So I am not the one doing these evil things. The sin that lives in me is what does them.
I know that my selfish desires won't let me do anything that is good. Even when I want to do right, I cannot.
Instead of doing what I know is right, I do wrong.
And so, if I don't do what I know is right, I am no longer the one doing these evil things. The sin that lives in me is what does them.
The Law has shown me that something in me keeps me from doing what I know is right.
With my whole heart I agree with the Law of God.
But in every part of me I discover something fighting against my mind, and it makes me a prisoner of sin that controls everything I do.
What a miserable person I am. Who will rescue me from this body that is doomed to die?
Thank God! Jesus Christ will rescue me. So with my mind I serve the Law of God, although my selfish desires make me serve the law of sin.
... After seeing this - my suggestion would be to read his writings and take HIS advice on how to overcome, the answer is there.
Peace.

You are a new creation in Christ Jesus. When Jesus washed away your sins he took away your sinful nature, that is why you struggle when the flesh makes a mistake. Although your spirit man is cleansed your mind has to be renewed, and this is done through His word. Stay in the word, read the gospels and study them. The more word you get the quicker your mind will be renewed. Also surround yourselves with fellow believers, it will do you wonders. You will come to a point where sin will not be such a struggle, it just takes some time.

There will always be struggles. The devil is going to make sure of that. But we must hold on to God and pray for strength. There are many issues that will only be answered when we die. We just can't get burdened with what we can't change. Say the serenity prayer,
God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time; Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it; Trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with Him. Forever in the next.
Amen.

For as long as you live you will have struggles, trials and tribulations. No one promised you wouldn't. But Jesus promised He would be right there to help you out even in the midst of these struggles, trials, and tribulations. He said He had already made a way out of every situation we get ourselves into. It is true that some sicknesses, troubles, and sorrows won't be wiped away until you die but God can fix your heart and mind so that it won't bother you while you're living in the midst of it. Sometimes God lets the mess we make stay with us so that we will talk to Him. Otherwise we would continue to take Him for granted and feel like we can do everything on our own.
