Yes it is... but its even worse at 14. You'll get through it, the hard part comes after, but if you have your head on straight you'll do okay with that too.

Well, everybody makes mistakes. Once you get pregnant, you should commit to having the baby and raising him/her. Do not get an abortion. I've had one, and it almost killed me. There is no reason a fifteen-year-old can't be a good mom. Just surround yourself with family members and friends who will support you. If the baby's father still wants to be with you, you can get married with parental consent, or you can live with your parent(s) and they can help you. Feeling the baby grow inside of you is very exciting and sometimes scary. It's important to eat right, exercise a little, stay occupied with schoolwork, and relax while you're pregnant. If you have an epidural when you give birth, you won't feel a thing (if the doctor is good). Get the best doctor you can, talk to others who have been through a similar experience, and most importantly, RELAX. Having a baby is a wonderful experience.

I can't speak from experience, since I was 21 when I was pregnant for my first child, and I could imagine that it is scary for a 15 year old to be pregnant and deliver. I am a mom of 3, and I was 22 when I delivered my first (got pregnant before my birthday), 23 when I delivered my second, 35 when I delivered my third. And each and every time, I was terrified.

Seriously, there are always options available, and since you asked this in R&S I would say that killing your baby is NOT an option.

I chose adoption and it was right for me. Email if you'd like to know the details.

Please don't let anyone scare you about giving birth. I chose the drugs option (an epidural) and I felt NO pain whatsoever and the labor was over in 15 minutes. The healing took two weeks, it wasn't really a big deal, honestly.

Hon, it was scary to be pregnant at 41 and it only got scarier after the emergency C-Section. Being a parent ain't easy, especially in those early days when sleep was a memory--and that goes on for months. Pregnancy isn't easy, either. I didn't like the majority of it and it can also be dangerous. That's why we adults keep telling you teens to abstain or, at least, use protection!

Very.

I know there are some mature teenagers, but the majority of 15 year olds don't possess enough maturity and wisdom to raise a child properly, nor the required resources and money. Not to mention the physical pain of giving birth would be absolutely terrifying to most teenagers.

I don't think giving birth is that bad considering the advancement of medical technology. Uncertainties when no stable family for the child is in place are I imagine far worse. Still giving birth is better than not once you're pregnant.

i would imagine so, not only being a child, but the thought of not having your own life in order yet, like a job, house, husband etc.... I dont know, i was 32 when i had my first pregnancy and 34 for my last....... But who ever the 15 year old is, i wish them luck and lots of prayers

Yes indeed it would be scary. Not only for the girl, but for her future child whom she is not capable of properly caring for, and for the society in which she lives, because society is going to be who takes up the slack when the 15 year old mother can't take care of her child.

I just wish people would love their children enough *before * they have them, to really consider not conceiving them until they can love and care for them.
