PS: I don't know how jelly babies came about. I just wanted to be silly for a moment.

They are gelatin candies in the shape of babies, and were first made by Bassets in 1919 as "peace babies" to mark the end of the !st World War.
Screaming jelly babies happen when they are soaked in potassium chloride and make a screaming sound when they dissolve.
