In the Bible, Deuteronomy 22:5 basically says that women aren't to wear that which pertains to men and men aren't to wear women's garments. I believe that the police uniform, guns, handcuffs, and night stick pertain to men. I am asking this question to find out what others think.

One day at a busy airport, the passengers on a commercial airliner are seated waiting for the pilot to show up so they can get under way.

The pilot and copilot finally appear in the rear of the plane and begin walking up to the cockpit through the center aisle. Both appear to be blind; the pilot is using a white cane, bumping into passengers right and left as he stumbles down the aisle. The copilot is using a guide dog. Both have their eyes covered with sunglasses.

At first, the passengers do not react thinking that it must be some sort of practical joke. After a few minutes though, the engines start revving, and the airplane begins moving down the runway.

The passengers look at each other with some uneasiness. They start whispering among themselves and look desperately to the stewardesses for reassurance.

Yet, the plane starts accelerating rapidly, and people begin panicking. Some passengers are praying, and as the plane gets closer and closer to the end of the runway, the voices are becoming more and more hysterical.

When the plane has less than twenty feet of runway left, there is a sudden change in the pitch of the shouts as everyone screams at once. At the very last moment, the plane lifts off and is airborne.

Up in the cockpit, the copilot breathes a sigh of relief and tells the pilot: "You know, one of these days the passengers aren't going to scream, and we aren't going to know when to take off!"

How much actual EFFORT do you expend to be "in touch" either spiritually or religiously? Atheists and pagans...have you actually read the bible, or you just rely on what others tell you about it? Christians...have you actually read Darwin or Dawkins, or do you rely on what you 'think' you know?

I wanted a photo blanket for my mom for christmas with me and my 2 younger siblings (age 5 and 2). I checked on teh walmart website and it said if u order them before dec 14th they'll be in for Xmas! i ordered mine on the 2nd and was assured that it would be in within 2 weeks MAX! i called today and was told that there is no way of checking on my blanket, no way of knowing if it even got sent or if the order is lost, and that it probably wont be here for christmas! so this beautiful gift idea i've had since summer when i got the photos taken is completely shot, as is my christmas spirit. and i go home in 3 days which is a 5 hour drive and im pretty sure im going home short $170 and with no gifts for my mom! :(

Anyone else have terrible walmart experiences?

what rule or phrase do you follow? do you adhere to any major religion, and why? do you have a relationship with a greater being? Im just curious how centre or right or left my beliefs are. "treat others as you would want to be treated" while basic, has everything you need (in my opnion) for this world to become a better place. please share your thoughts, no matter how extreme. I just want to see how people justify their actions, and beliefs.

Since you do not believe in a higher being....where do you believe life came from? You can say evolution....but what created evolution? I am just curious. I never understood what you believe. Or if you believe at all.

The Saudi woman who was raped received a pardon from the King of Saudi Arabia which means she won't receive any lashes or prison time. Does the pardon protect her from any other retribution from her family? She has still brought dishonor to her family but is that honor restored by virtue of the King's pardon?

Reverends Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton to prominent positions in his administration? For example, Secretary of Defense and Secretary of State? Considering the hard work they are doing on his behalf, they should be rewarded with a title and favored position of some kind. Right?
