Abiogenesis seems to be what I have thought about the start of life in this universe. It just seems so obvious that life started from chemicals and energy. It just seems so obvious that religious explanations are wrong and, in many ways, funny. Or is it ridiculous.

What created evolution???? Ha ha! That's funny that you'd ask that. Now I know how Christians feel when I ask who created god! And I'll give (basically) the same answer they give me. They say, "read the bible" So to you I say, study up. You won't find the answer to your question on here, you need more sources, different opinions and different theories and take it all with an open mind and then make your own decision.

*agrees with crazy pirate* :) though whats funny is I do believe in a higher power...but I believe that if there is a higher power, he/she/it would stick to the rules of the universe it created...Levitation and water to wine would be great for parties, but I doubt he/she/it would employ those standards for the creation of our universe...
Actually, since all the more intelligent answers have been used, I'm gonna say it was the Flying Spaghetti Monster at work :)

Life on Earth (the possibility of life elsewhere in the universe is still being explored) began as random RNA molecules in what is known as the prebiotic soup... these molecules actually form by chance.
I know it's hard for most people to believe, but yes... most of what we see around us is an accident. There is no god.

thers a little part that we will always wonder with, like the big bang theory tihng (where it came from), its always something if u think about it, since time is "infinite, its just likea big black hole in your brain you cant imagine. its like telling you to "imagine a new color". anyways, i believe its much m,ore believable than the deity thought, its the same thing if i asked you "where did god come from". i would not be satisfied AT ALL with the answer believers gave me " he was just there for all eternity."...i dont think thats a good enough answer.

I believe the humans and other life forms here is originated from other universe.
And that's what we're all trying to figure out instead of coming to the conclusion that everything is magically created. It doesn't make sense at all.

things always have to come from somewhere;
personally, the concept is hard for me to grasp
where did God come from?
where did the universe come from?
if the BigBang, then how was that fueled?
you can go on and on forever!
eventually, you just have to stop and stick to what you believe

see i've always believed you cant make something from nothing... so idk.. like ppl say there is a god, but then what created god... evolution was probably created from the matter that was in the universe... watch The Universe on the History Channel and you'll learn alot about evolution
