I wanted a photo blanket for my mom for christmas with me and my 2 younger siblings (age 5 and 2). I checked on teh walmart website and it said if u order them before dec 14th they'll be in for Xmas! i ordered mine on the 2nd and was assured that it would be in within 2 weeks MAX! i called today and was told that there is no way of checking on my blanket, no way of knowing if it even got sent or if the order is lost, and that it probably wont be here for christmas! so this beautiful gift idea i've had since summer when i got the photos taken is completely shot, as is my christmas spirit. and i go home in 3 days which is a 5 hour drive and im pretty sure im going home short $170 and with no gifts for my mom! :(

Anyone else have terrible walmart experiences?

This is a disappointment, but don't let it ruin your Christmas. Put a card under the tree with a note to your Mom her gift will be unavoidably delayed. In the meantime, call Wal-Mart headquarters and insist on talking to someone who will assist with this.

Don't let a huge multi national company that really couldn't give a toss ruin your Christmas!! No one at Walmart will lose any sleep over you, so don't lose sleep over them! Bad mouth them all over the place if you want, tell the press your story and put it all over the internet on the bad present experience forums. But certainly don't let them ruin your Christmas!!

Tell you mum you had a great present idea but the post let you down and you will give it to her as soon as you can, take her a nice bunch of flowers, I'm sure she'll understand. Then have a fantastic time just being with your family and look forward to her surprise when you take her the present in the New Year!!

Why are you on the computer, you should be going up the chain of command at Walmart. Also if you paid for this by credit card, call them and make a complaint. They should be able to intercede as well. Not being to tell you if they received the order and the progress on it, is complete BS. Get a manager on the phone, call your credit card company, call your states Attorney General, your local news station and the Better Business Bureau. But get a manager on the phone first.

I would call back and ask to speak to their Supervisor. They have to know about your order and what the status is.

I know you want to have it to give to your mom for Christmans but you can always give it to your mom when it comes. Mom's are more excited to see their children than to receive gifts. She'll love it just as much on a different day. Just explain to her what happened, I guarantee she won't be upset.

I personally haven't had any terrible Wal-mart experiences. They could stand to open a few more lanes. And I hate when it's late at night and they close one side but all the open check out lanes are on the opposite side of the store!

Years ago when they still had lay-a-way they lost all of my kids toys two years in a row. I could over look it once but not twice. The dolls I had picked out were the hot dolls of the season and there was no way to find them at such a late date. I vowed then and there that I would never purchase another toy from that store.
I feel really sorry for your loss. Explain to your mom what happened and that her gift will arrive, just not when you expected it to. She'll understand, I promise.

Wal-Mart sucks. Take your mom a picture of the type of blanket and put it in a nice card. Explain what you ordered and what happened and tell her you will get it to her as soon as you recieve it. Your mom will understand(moms are good at that) and remember you are bringing her the best Christmas gift anyway---yourself. Merry Christmas!!

It is a real bummer about the photo blanket - but truly no-one can ruin your Xmas unless you allow them to do so. Make your mum a beautiful scrapbook with photos of the family and write about all the things your love about her and I am sure she will love this gift above anything you could buy.

Sure tell your Mum what happened, but please don't let a large corporation ruin your time with your family.

Sending you the best of Xmas wishes,

yeah.... i work there....

I know for a FACT - what they said about not being able to check for you is FALSE! The photo lab has a phone number they can call to check on everything... but make sure you print out an email of the reciept and any other information you may have regarding this order. Remember being polite will get you far, but if they won't give you what you want ask to speak to the photo center manager, if that doesn't work ask for there market managers phone number!

;o)

Awww!

well, you can print the photos onto a sheet of paper, and attach a flyer about the photo blanket -- so at least she'll know that something special is on its way...

that is too bad!

I have hated Walmart for a long time -- I hate how they don't have room in their aisles for 2 carts to pass - it's so annoying.
