Yes, Anna W, and the pope was a Nazi, but it turns out not all Catholics were Nazis, and we don't consider the two facts related.

If civilization can survive long enough without being destroyed by religious fundamentalists and fanatics, everyone living on the earth will eventually be Atheists. Atheism is more ultimate than Marxism, Communism, Socialism, Fascism or Capitalism all combined. ATHEISM is the "Reich Divinity" and the Lebensraum for the People's Purity and Freedom without religion for Liberty and Justice for all.

Nothing is wrong with Atheism and it is go idea to have everyone move towards it.

People will still reject Atheism due to ignorant people like Anna W who simple parrot what they hear from other ignorant people.
Once we get through to people who are open-minded then we can continue to pick up the pace and move forward.

It's just a matter of time, unless there is a nuclear holocaust and we are sent back to the Stone Age, as predicted by Albert Einstein if WWIII happens.

...When asked what kind of weapons World War III would be fought with, Einstein responded, “I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.”...

Well if it were wrong then it wouldn't be but so far no theists have met their burden of proof.

Though the one thing that I think needs to be emphasised is that atheism isn't sufficient to either morality of correct beliefs even though it is probably necessary for both.

It is the way forward....we just need to hold our course. People are waking up faster than ever, and you'll soon see the dying cries of religion as it desperately tries to recruit people back.

The next thing we know, they will say we can have Atheism as long as we call ourselves christians...kinda like they did with the pagans and christmas.

Because some people find peace and hope in God.
Don't let others make you think that religion is a prison.
It has it's strong points.

Because people just can't believe in it. You will not see atheism take over in your life time..We have to learn to be tolerant and accept each other.

if by atheism you mean belief that there is no scientific evidence for God. then thats one thing.

if by atheism you mean belief that there is NO God, then definitely not.

atheism as skepticism in God is fine. and it is quite neccesary for some things.

but believing that there is affirmatively NO God, ... thats just as "faith based" as conventional religion.

in fact its even MORE faith based.

edit: lol @ thumbsdown's

affirmative anti-theism is just as unbased as fanatical theism. if not moreso.
its at least conceptually possible to experience God. I can experience interaction with another person, and its theoretically possible to experience existence of something greater.
but you can't experience that God does NOT exist. you can only have a lack of affirmative experience that the divine DOES exist.

if someone belives they have experienced something, it is rational for them to belive in that (even if it from the outside appears or is shown to be a delusion or halucination)

its COMPLETELY insane to think that the lack of experience means that there is affirmatively nothing TO experience.

this is ESPECIALLY so when the experience of non-existence requires infinite perception or greater.

Mainly because atheists don't know much about anything worth mentioning, same as the rest of us.

It's a starting place that can lead any direction
