but can you tell me what it means when someone says they were emancipated. Obviously freed, but of what? Is it like a coming of age or something? I live in Australia and we don't commonly use that word.
Thanks!

how is it that the Holy Bible had never mentioned that Mary was quickened in her mother's womb but John was....Luk 1:41 And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost:

Q1) so..... John mus also be immaculately conceived, since this is mentioned in the Holy Bible??

Q2) is there any Old Testament prophecies that say........an immaculate shall conceived........???

I only know that .....a virgin shall conceive........

It is not socially acceptable to fart of scratch our butts in public. Why should it be different for smoking?

Smokers who complain about the bans are amusing. If someone came into a restaurant and sat at the table next to them stinking of feces, they would complain rather than defend that person’s right to stink — just as non-smokers complained about smokers. Health issues aside, smoking is often an offensive invasion of other people’s personal space and the case can be made for limiting it under the law for that alone — as we do with NOISE, for instance.

The State of Iowa was funding an Evangelical Christian prison ministry. So now, obviously, the Christians will shout about taking the Church out the prisons. Before that happens, I'll just say it's not about the ministry being Chrsitian, and everything to do with the State funding it. The ministry can stay, but they have to pay for the ministry themselves. How do the rest of you feel about the Church and State Issue?

If you are an athist, or believe in other religions except christianity, and you were told couple of times to ask Christ to come into your life, to ask for forgiveness, and to follow God's commandments but you didn't want to because you don't believe He exists or because you felt that you didn't need Christ because you were happy the way you are or believed other gods were better. then when you died you find out that he is real and stand in front of God and He asks you why didn't you listen when you had the chance, what do you think you will say. be real!

So my nationality is American and what if one day I move to Canada and have kids there. Would my kids be considered part American at all? I mean American isn't a race or really a ethnicity, its mainly a nationality since its diverse. If not then can the kids say that their father was an American? What do you think?

NOTE: I don't believe that the Bible is God's words either, but I heard enough from the non-Mormon Christians about their reason to believe that the Bible is God's words. and now I want to learn why Mormons believe that the Book of Mormon is also God's words. aside from Joseph Smith claiming it to be God's words too, what other proof can you provide to prove that the Book of Mormon is indeed God's words?

every year?

I read another question saying it sometimes goes into January only. How can this be? We Muslims use the lunar calendar as well and the Islamic dates move up 11 days each year, so that the holidays and Ramadan eventually fall throughout the year at some point. Why is this not true for Hanukkah?

That in the original hebrew the word virgin which is "betula" is not found in Isaiah 7:14 but instead ha-alma which is young.

Which reads: Therefore the L-rd himself will give you a "sign" a [young woman] shall conceive and bare a son.
The purpose of this is to wake people up so that when mockers come you would know what to say or not say.
In this text of scripture the enfasis should be in the word "sign" why, because if anyone tells you that it is a sign that a young woman is going to give birth what is so unique about that?
And if a young woman being pregnant is not a sign why in the world put that phraze there in the 1st place, unless that phraze can still have it's uniqueness if it is a "uniquely" significant occurance that a young womans way of being inpregnated was without an earthly intervention but heavenly, for it is written that "G-d" himself will give you a sign.

Armageddon in Hebrews mean : Where kings (rulers) meets to measure their strength

It is translated in Greek to mean : The hill of Megiddo is unfortunate and misleading.

Do you know where, and ,when did the Battle of Armageddon toke place ?
Yes , Revelation 16:16ff are all spelled in the "past tense" meaning it has already happened. Do you know when and where was it fulfilled and not as a "going to be fulfilled" future event ?

What say you all - Theologians, Christians, Religious Scholars and teachers of the Word of God ?

I was baptized when I was a baby, but I don't come from a religious family. I don't read the bible and I don't believe in any God, not just Jesus. I don't plan on changing the way I feel and I don't plan on changing my beliefs.

I just want others opinions on this. I want to know how other people feel and think. Is the way I think and feel a sin? If it is, what do you people think about it?

I know most people would say "Since you're not planning on changing your beliefs, why even ask the question?" The reason I'm asking it is because (like I said in the previous paragraph) I just want some opinions on this. I'm curious about what other people think.

Please, no rude or ignorant responses!

I know Christmas has become a commercialized holiday mostly removed from its religious aspects, but why is it a national holiday when it's actually a religious one? There are plenty of people who practice other non-Christian religions in this country and don't celebrate this holiday, yet on Christmas day most businesses are closed. It just doesn't seem to make much sense to me. Any insights?
