Letter jacket? What are you hanging on to? When I went to a party tonite and put on a skirt I made when my youngest daughter was a baby (I only wear it once a year, and it is a long Christmas plaid, so it is still as pretty as new) I thought about how old it was (40 yrs!!!) and started thinking about some of the other clothes I have had for years, mostly classic holiday stuff. I still have a red crew neck sweater that I wore in highschool, and it is still wearable! My two daughters wore it when they went to highschool! I even wore it a couple of times last winter. What do you have that you still wear, from days gone by?

"Acid Zebra, a-the-ist. - I'm not going to write a full text right now so I'm going to summarize in very basic terms ( in about 5 minutes or so before I go to sleep ) ... Okay basically it talks about the gap of indeterminate time between the first two verses of Genesis chapter 1..."

look how long the rest is

How the 2 books portray the life of Solomon

http://www.articlesbase.com/religion-articles/not-in-bible-but-in-quran-16-king-solomon-and-his-arab-horses-255248.html

The fact that the bible shows their faults proves its validity. It stays honest. Of course a book "recited" by a man (Muhammad) is going to try and sway people to believe by showing how good the prophets or regular people were.

Help! I have a co-worker that's been complaining about how she hates her job. Whenever she's into this mode I don't talk to her at all and instead just ignore her until she cools off. She's been getting into trouble a lot with the boss because we have a new tardy and absent policy. She thinks they're out to fire her, but I don't think so. For one thing I learned that she takes advantage of peoples kindness, and even talks bad behind there back when it benefits her. She hassles people for money because she spends her pay on the stupidest stuff.

What really gets me is the fact that when she's pissed she has to let everyone at work know. She'd start using f bomb and start saying that they won't get her, yet she's acting like she is. I like my job. It may not be exciting, but it's not bad like how she acts. Am I wrong?

Now my question is...how do you deal with a co-worker like that? Am I stupid for not trying to console her because she feels hassled at work?

why is it hard for people to accept christ/God? why can't people understand that the more they are in control and make decisions without God the more problems they will have? why can't they just try it? has one ever been in that situation then accepted christ and saw the difference in their life.

How does this make you feelt?

The most abused verse is ayah 34 of Surah four. The wording of this verse emphasizes the woman's obedience to Allah's desires, and not to those of another human being, but those who misinterpret this verse would assign men the duty of being eternal surveillance police over their wives. This verse has been so misunderstood that it is not uncommon for husbands to prevent their wives from going to the corner store, to attend births, deaths, or marriages, to see doctors, seek education, or even to visit their parents without express permission. This verse has also been used to underpin the mistaken belief that the qawwama of men as protectors and maintainers of their wives not only implies unquestionable obedience to men as individuals but also that only men may lead women in any aspect of life whatsoever on any level. In short, this verse has been used as a tool of control and abuse completely opposed to the Islamic foundation of marriage and family.

Remember when you had to get up and turn the channel on the tv?
Remember when microwaves first came out? They were expensive and they were called Radar Ranges.

Remember a big boxy telephone that had a long cord and a dial?

Remember the first mobile phones? They were the size of a shoe box.

What "remember whens" can you come up with?

☺ Gladys, I am particularly anxious to see your answers.

I have suffered from silence on the part of God my entire life; despite my upbringing as a Christian, never have I felt or had conscious experience of a connection to God. These days I am an Atheist, but I am curious about the experience of those who have felt that connection, even communication, with God.

What has the experience been like for you, and how has it helped you in your life?
