why is it hard for people to accept christ/God? why can't people understand that the more they are in control and make decisions without God the more problems they will have? why can't they just try it? has one ever been in that situation then accepted christ and saw the difference in their life.

Giving you the benefit of the doubt, I assume you truly believe that you are being helpful. However, statements like these do nothing but push people away.

I am Jewish and I don't want to to accept your "christ/G-d." Others are atheists and have no desire to accept G-d. Millions of people pray to different gods than yours, and do not see the bible as useful or relevant.

Now I might ask, why is it hard for you to accept Allah or Buddha or Zeus? Have you studied zen? Do you pray to trees and rocks? Shun electric appliances? Do you keep a kosher kitchen? But I won't ask those questions, because you are happy with your beliefs, right?

Christianity is a fine religion, but it is only one of many fine religions. And those who are not religious can also be moral, loving and yes, even spiritual.

In this forum I have read that we all will embrace Jesus one day. I have also read that we will all be muslims, and that we will give up religion altogether. Personally I doubt that this will ever happen, and it certainly won't happen in my lifetime, or my children's. So while we're waiting, one more question please: Why is it hard for people to accept diversity?

Do you know what? I can list 6 people of the top of my head that I see every week that did accept God into their lives. And I'll tell you something, 4 of those have become completely arrogant a**holes with no respect for animals, the environment, or any person who doesn't fit with their view of the world, one became a fanatic and lost everyone he cared for because he wouldn't stop preaching his beliefs to those with other beliefs.
1 out of 6. Not too good.

It is a "humbling" thing to accept God's free gift of salvation through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

How "hard" it is depends on our willingness to be free from the power that sin has over us. In my case.. After 31 years of rejecting God's love... I cried tears of joy when I realized that by coming to God through Christ I would have my sins forgiven and that I would start a brand new life.

I've never for a moment regreted the last 37 years as a believer.. Have I been perfect? No... But the one that keeps me, encourages me, and loves me... He is perfect. Christ is my joy and peace.

Sin can cause us to miss the joy of our salvation and relationship with Christ... It is far easier to live for Him than it is to live apart from Him..

It saddens me to see people "convert". Mainly because they don't actuall stop and think "Do I really believe this?". They do it for comfort or for answer or because it's easy.
Not all Christians are like this. There are several that I have no doubt of thier experiance. They were called by Jehova and I respect that. But they aren't the ones out causing trouble though. They lead by example, not by screaming from street corners or knocking at my door.

hosea 4:6 said my people are being destroyed for lack of knowledge..and GOD blames the pastors..who teach NOT .or teach the milk and never enter the meat of the world..which hurts, cuts, bruise ego..but GOD need elders..not babes.who are 50 years old. babes can't handle the power of divine power..elders can.
all because the pastors don't believe. so you or congregation are limited to what the pastors believe.
if they don't believe in power of tongues..then you are limited by great power of GOD..in that church.
ALSO..the word of GOD..is like a HAMMER..hammering on the hard rock heart, trying to enter in.parable of the sedd fits here, till the heart is plowed up, logs removed.boulder removed, poverty in spirt.in soul and boey continue.apostles, prophets are coming to perfect the church Eph.4

The sinful human nature is enmity towards God.

After I yielded to the Lordship of Jesus Christ in my life, tremendous peace swept over my soul. The joy of being forgiven and loved by God is amazing!

I would certainly recommend Jesus Christ to all who are now feeling sad & lonely, depressed & suicidal.

Jesus saves! Jesus heals! Jesus delivers!

I needed a touch from him to finally realize and accept. No one who told me about Christ really convinced me, I didn't really believe then, cause... God already was blessing me.

Of course, if I was dirt poor and desperately sick... I wouldn't care what God it was, I'd just accept!

Circumstances make all the difference.

Because SIN is more fun. And people don't want any burdens until they get old and gray and can't get it up to take in Jesus Christ. Only thing is, they'll die younger, and won't get the chance to convert. So they play STUPID. So be it!

Your argument presumes that God actually exists. I'll worry about accepting your Christ once I'm satisfied that he actually exists. Until then, no thanks.

I tried it for forty years. "Jesus" never took the reins. So I moved on. In my experience, the people most anxious to "turn their lives over to God" are most anxious to avoid responsibility for their own actions.
