I agree-- the real people in the bible, with all their faults, rings truer, and makes the offer of redemption that much more powerful -- perfect people don't need it, but flawed people do.
Great question.

The Quran is still new when compared to the bible. So, as for it being new and the latest, it can be said that the Quran is the updated words of God. I shall not go into discussion of what the link you provide us tells us, but just go on the general. Many things in the bible has already changed, the message in it is slightly altered. Now, look at the languages, one should know that many essence of a sentence can be lost due to translation, the Quran still existed in its original language ie Arabic, but now, no one understands Aramaic, and no one has an Aramaic copy of Bible. Read the whole bible, you will find a verse that states that everything that Jesus do was under the will of God, which meant jesus himself was not in control of himself, and he is not god

The Prophets and messengers are loose from sin before and after the message. in the adventure that they do some thing then this is an inward command. this is the data of the final public. someone who says that a prophet can make a mistake or a substantial sin could no longer be followed and his opinion to be taken as suspect.

The prophets are the Men of God. They are pious and righteous people that spread the teaching of God. Would God entrust A Holy Message to a mere thief?
Never. Holy messages requires holy men. Men of righteousness and an example to his people. A trusted person among his people.
In the Holy Quran, its a true accounting of the deeds of the prophets, Allah, God AlMighty Himself gives us the accounting. In the Bible, its a second, maybe a third hand accounting of the life of the prophets from "divinely inspired" people. People whose name were not attested by Allah, the All-Knowing Himself. Do this people say they knew better then Allah, and ascribe their saying as Allah's Words?
Preprosterous... is the word that comes to mind.
And the Holy Quran is not Muhammad(pbuh) Words.
He got no choice in saying what he did, because that was his responsiblity, his trust. To receive verbal inspiration and teach it the people. His people are unlettered, written account would be useless to them.
If it was from him, why would he honour Virgin Mary, there is a Sura name Surah Maryam, a Jew, to be the best of woman in all the Nation, when Jews are the ones who despise them the most. if it was from him, wouldn't it be logical for him to honour his own mother, his wife, his relatif before anyone else? Because he got no choice, he had to say it, according to the Will of Allah.
And how about the Sura Ar-Rome (The Romans). The Surah was recited by the Holy Prophet years and years before the Romans defeat at the hand of the Iranians 615 A.D.
How was he to know something that far distance in the future, unless the Allah the All-knowing Himself gave that verse to him.?
There's a lot more to this proving the Al-Quran is not a mere human tongue, but inspiration in truth to the Holy prophet(pbuh).
The evidence is numerous but for those who bent in not wanting to know the truth, no matter how many evidence were presented to them they will not believe. Again, your action prove that Allah Knows what I do not. And, again, and again, your denying what written in the Holy Quran as the truth is proving that the Holy Quran is right all along.
I bear witness that the Holy Quran is recited by Muhammad(pbuh), and the inspiration comes from Allah the Most High, conveyed through Gabriel(pbuh) in truth.

Today's version of Bible is not word of God that is why only pretect what people who wrote it wnts to protect.
For example they want to level Prophet Jesus with The God Almighty , so you will find verses saying no sins for Prophet Jeusus, and so many verses saying unrealistic accusations against other Holy Prophets of The God Almnighty.
You see discrimination?
On the other hand Qura'n is only True word of God left now.
Qura'n realisticly protects all Holy Prophets from sins, mistakes mentioned but no sin.
Qura'n teaches us all Prophets of God Almighty were under direct command of The God Almighty and when ever God Almighty saw any mistak, He corrected by commanding them to do so.

Ok, so you're saying that Christianity is right by stating the faults of the prophets and Islam is wrong because it's sugar-coating it?
Well, think about it, if God were to send a prophet and make people believe in God then why in the world would he send a bad one? why wouldn't he send one that everyone likes and would listen to?
I mean you see, even when God DID send a very good man to be a prophet, people like you want to make him look bad not to believe in God, let alone if God sent an a**hole... think logically my friend.
Peace

Anyone with fault cannot be a role model and certainly not be expected to preach.
Muslims believe the prophets to be infallible... The Quran does not disregard the hardships they under went; but these were their trials. Both men and prophets get tried by Allah. Due to the high status of the Prophets, their trials are much harder.
All in all they are infallible- and selected by Allah due to their piety- and bestowed the great status of prophethood.

thanks for pointing out that muhammad recited the quran. He was an illiterate person, who couldnt read and write so him reciting the quran further solidifies the fact that Quran is the word of God.

The Qu'ran is not the Word of God.
Edit: responding to Zeratul....
I can see [& even appreciate] your fevency, but may I ask a question? It is not my intention to insult or demean the Qu'ran, Mohammad or Allah. But this is to reply....historical records tell us that Muhammad was having fits & was foaming at his mouth, and was in a trance, when he was reciting the words which the angel gabriel was giving to him. Is this correct? If it is, then don't you think that that was a sign of demon-possession?
This is one of the reasons why I question the source of the Qu'ran, & state that it is NOT the Word of God. But I have already been given the 'thumbs down' so I am not sure you are reading this reply.
