And the author of that book of course is the only one who really understood what Jesus was saying - and of course his conclusion was that he wasn't really saying much of anything.
Just one book and now you understand all the mysteries of God.

The "Infancy 'Gospel' of Thomas" replace into skipped over because of the fact it replace into written lots later than the three synoptic Gospels (Mark, Matthew, Luke) and John and because it stemmed from a budding custom talked approximately as gnosticism that replace into later deemed heretical by using the council of Nicea. It replace into deemed a destructive source of information on the historic Jesus because of the fact it replace into needless to say written by using somebody who knew little approximately Hebrew lifestyle aside from what he (we don't know who wrote it) seems to have gleaned from his analyzing of the Gospel of Luke, which the piece replace into loosely based off of. there is not any way it got here from Apostolic custom like another Gospels.

Sometimes I think and think about these things too.
There are so many denominations amidst Christians, when God says all belong to one church and teaches about unity.
But I realised I really get nowhere thinking all these, because I will still be back to square one.
So, why not go to the Bible and read what God has to say?

It's all about interpretation. Not so much errors as is who would rather interpret in there own way of reasoning. Therefore, another and another and another form of interpretation. Another way of reasoning something else away and form their own beliefs.
Sure, people think all the time. "They" think of new ways to play God or what ever "they" want to call themselves as long as they get followers and preach there new interpretations.
The want the power to control.

There is only one church (small c) and that is the Body of Christ. All the denominations don't mean anything. The personal relationship with God is the only thing that matters. Yes, I think quite often, thank you.

People keep repeating things other people say, instead on reading the bible for themselves.

I have always been in the 'Bible is fallible' camp. What you say is very true, and I wish some of the fundies would explore it.

Some people do; most of them are atheists. It isn't the errors in the bible that frighten me -- it's the people who don't understand that they are errors. See:
