They'll see my triquetra necklace and ask what it is/represents.
They'll assume it's part of Satan, then I tell them it's not; it's based on Nature. Should I just not tell them and let them be ignorant and hide myslf (in a sense of not talking about it)? I really don't get how it's scary and that I'm aggressive when I say, "Where does this assumption of it being Satan come from? We do believe in our Lord Jesus."

My mom is catholic.. and me and my bf go to church with her sometimes.. both of us are as well.. any way this is not question regarding regilion so much as morals..in our church there is a book that is kept where most churches keep the hyme book... every year they get a new.. and in it is the prayer for each time there is mass.. and hymes.. well when me and my bf got up to go out side for a minute.. she gave me the book and wrapped it in a sheet of paper and told me to take it.. i told her no way.. there are some things i just don't do.. it will bring about bad luck.. or karma which ever you believe in.. and that it is stealing from the church.. she told me it was not.. that they did not care.. so she wrapped it up in the paper and went to take communion.. and we left as mass was over as soon as communion was.. who is right on this one.. is it stealing..

that some people live their entire lives THINKING that they believe in God, but they really don't?

And that they honestly don't even know that they don't believe?

I think I know some people like this.

They tell themselves (and others) that they believe, but they never think about what they do and don't believe. They say it because they were taught to.

Could there be some disbelief that runs so deeply and quietly in our sub/un-conscience that we don't know it's there? Could there be some doubt that would take super-human powers of introspection to be in touch with?

How many everyday church goers make deep introspection and self analysis a daily habit? How many of them are taught that questioning anything about God is a sin?

Do you believe that the Roman soldier's remark to Jesus is the most basic human prayer? "Lord, I believe. Help my unbelief."

Once I asked one about the influence that the Oort cloud and Ceres exerted on my life....she told me I shouldn't joke about her job, stood up and left.....

Since they think that planets and space bodies have some sort of influence on us, why wouldn't they know about some existing space bodies?

Survey 79...keep asking the same question under a different heading...
Girls look at this,
Girls be very very honest,
Girls rate these guys on their looks,...you know the ones, they show two ugly gits and ask you silly questions about whether you would ask them out etc..
I'm fed up to the back teeth with them and report every time it's posted. No-one else seems to want to back me up as they are still here. They have been suspended before but have come back...when will YA realize they are a pest and stop them returning.
Is it just me...does anyone actually like answering these stupid questions?

Wouldn't that be 10% of what I have left over after I pay my bills? I mean, if we are supposed to give 10% of our INCREASE, then that would mean 10% of money earned after expenses.

Several R&S participants, in response to my question regarding "Happy Holidays", asked me if I'd consider them too presumptuous if they wished others "Merry Christmas". I of course have my own opinion, but I thought I'd try to get the community's consensus. I don't wish I to chat about it (just in case the moderators wanted to know).

Here's the question I'd referenced: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20071203103943AA6FbIq

God's inspired Word mentions Michael five times - as

1. " one of the foremost princes" ( Dan.10:13, NWT )

2. " the prince of ( Daniel's ) people ( Dan. 10:21, NWT )

3. " the great prince who is standing in behalf of the sons of ( Daniel's ) people" (Dan 12:1, NWT )

4. " the archangel" who " had the difference with the Devil and was disputing about Moses' body " but " did not dare to bring a judgment against him in abusive terms " ( Jude 9, NWT ) and

5. a participant in heavenly conflict when " Michael and his angels battled with the dragon " ( Rev. 12:7, NWT ).

Help me out because I do not see any of them to state that Michael is Jesus Christ. I understand that who is familiar with a complicated Watchtower argument might reach that conclusion that Michael is Jesus Christ, and also if one does not want to be kicked out from their organization for not agreeing.

archaeological dig has been underway in the old part of Jerusalem which is known as the City of David. Artifacts found there date to the days when Nehemiah rebuilt the walls of Jerusalem, and scientists may have found part of the wall itself.

A few years ago on this same dig what is believed to be part of the palace of King David, built by Hiram of Tyre, was uncovered nearby at this site. That confirms what the Bible says about the palace of King David, if that is what the remains are.

This new structure just found may be part of the wall around Jerusalem Nehemiah rebuilt when the Babylonian captivity was over and he was sent back to repair Jerusalem so the Jewish people could come back and live there.

This new find is amazing, because many scholars have been saying that the wall does not, or did not, exist
But now that it does exsist, then should scientists be open to other Biblical Facts?

Last week each time I would post
I would get a violation & question removed.
So if I just answer everyone will know the reason.
And it was in the Seniors thread.
I closed my answers and questions and took all the percautions...
May I note...I really enjoyed asking different questions and all seemed to like my questions.

I have to prove that God exists, but i feel as though my information is bias. What information can you guys offer that will strengthen my argument? What about the credibility of the bible? Help please....

I am so confused and frankly I get tired of my father calling me. I know it sounds mean and heartless, but there is a reason why I feel the way I do. I am 30 years old and my father has been on drugs for as long as I can remember. He used to actually be functional (meaning he had a job), but now he does odd jobs such as cleaning bars, yard work, etc. He stays with his girlfriend off and on, but he verbally and physically abuses her. He abused my mother throughout their entire relationship (before and after I was born). He doesn't have a car and is basically homeless, whenever his girlfriend puts him out.

He was raised by his grandmother who passed away last October. She always took care of him and gave him money each month up until the day she was hospitalized and died. Because of the way she raised him, he grew up thinking the world and everybody in it owes him something. He is a good person overall but can be cruel and heartless and times. He is also VERY violent.

I am bothered by TV shows that portray the head of the household as an unreliable breadwinner and unloving husband. Do you enjoy watching this blatant misrepresentation of manhood on TV? Is this an accurate perception of the real man in your household? Not for me.
