Methuselah. He lived 969 years and his name means "When he dies, judgement will come."
Which it did with the great flood.
It also tells us something about God who told Meth's dad to give him that name. It means God is VERY patient when He comes to judging people. He's not quick to do it in hopes that they will repent.

Well, oldest man who lived on earth, the one who lived the largest amount of years, and then die: Methuselah.
However, Enoch (father of Matusalem) and Elijah were translated to heaven without experiencing physical death, and since Enoch was born before Eliah; then Enoch is the oldest man ever born and that have not experiencing death.

If you mean oldest in the sense of the "first born" it would be Adam (unless you're getting sticky about birth). If you mean oldest in the sense of "longest living" then it would be Methuselah - the origin of the saying, "As old as Methuselah" when referring to a really old person.

by sdb deacon said.... Methuselah. He lived to 969 years.
The year he died was the year of the great flood.
I said....
To be more accurate, he died about 1 month before the flood came. Even God was watching over him. He was a man of God. He did not want him to die in the flood.
