If there was proof everyone would be Christian. There is no proof.

You have to prove God exists...why focus on the Bible or Christianity?
The debate is not to prove the Christian concept of God (you try that standpoint and it will be an uphill battle).
But I would focus on the direct experiences of God by saints, swamis, yogis, etc. They could claim delusion, but then there are consistencies and such (regardless of religion). You likely won't have time to prepare if the debate is tomorrow.

Firstly I don't believe that FAITH needs PROOF.
Secondly you might take a different tack. All religions have a God and there is only one God. If GOD is short for GOOD and we should lead our lives doing GOOD things then seems to be a reasonable argument for belief in God. Jesus has nothing to do with it

Creation proves a creator....life does not come from non-living materials...the scientific Law of Biogenesis tells us that....it is a law, not a theory, which has been observed to be true in every instance and, to our current knowledge, matter/energy does not last forever...at some point in time or at the beginning of time, they were created.
We have God's Word in the Genesis account of creation in the Bible to tell us how and when He created everything. As fallible humans, we must accept that God knows more than we do as to the inception and makeup of the universe...He has all knowledge whereas we humans are in the pursuit and accumulation of knowledge. Only a true God who sees all of time at once can predict future events with complete accuracy which is what we find in the hundreds of prophecies in the Bible that came true many hundreds of years after they were inspired by God to be written by men who had no control of these future events. In Jesus life alone, there are hundreds of them that came true...the odds of even 12 of them coming true in one man's life, hundreds of years after they were prophesied, are statistically impossible to have happened by chance.
Human reason will never understand an infinite, omniscient, omnipresent, omnipotent God for we are mortal and fallible creatures....if we could fully understand God then He would not be God....He would be a mere projection of ourselves which is what many false god's or mythical beings are.
God is not testable or observable in today's world by scientific means yet we do see the evidence of His creation and of the global flood He sent and we have His inspired, true Word in the Scriptures of the Bible as to our creation, man's fall into sin, His plan of salvation through our Savior, Jesus Christ and the coming judgement of the world.

I am atheist, but do understand a thing or two about philosophy debates.
Try defining god as something really amorphous, like "the wonder of nature" or "the driving force of the Universe". It gets more difficult if you are forced to prove that this force thinks.

You may ask : what does a person need to have G-d be real to them. G-d truth/existence is through faith. That comes from with in.With faith you have the existence of G-d. And remember in this paper your statements are just as much truth as anyone Else's statements are.

No proof for god exists. Can you say "falsifiability." That's very good, I knew you could!
Take the nihilistic approach: god's existence doesn't matter in the end. It is through the Golden Rule and knowing thy self the one achieves enlightenment.

God-Is it no longer obtrusive that the large bang had to have a source? this is the reason Einstein resisted and made his admired blunder of including a cosmological consistent to target to make the universe look consistent. for sure atheists attempt to get round this by ability of declaring the universe is somewhat basically in a soup of better universes, yet there is not any longer evidence-hence this too must be taken on faith-yet faith in there being no God. maximum folk, misunderstand the kind of the concept of evolution. Darwin change into no longer the first to recommend one. human beings were attempting to seek for a godless reason to the kind of existence before that. search for Lamarkism in case you do not have self belief me. Darwin change right into a genius in his discovery of organic decision, although, human beings over utilized it to creating all species suitable even as there is in basic terms reliable data of stripling speciation (birds to birds, snails to snails). Darwin himself envisioned there to be much better data modern-day in time contained in the fossil record. to boot this, evolution has yet to go back up with a available reason for the first little bit of existence. It can also not clarify the widespreadness of the anthropic crucial (why each thing contained in the universe appears to be like completely designed to promote existence and gaining knowledge of in the international, alongside with the regulations of physics, our placement contained in the galaxy, etc.).

I hate to tell you this but HUMANS wrote the bible so....I don't think that will help win your argument. AND they decided 500 years or so after the dead of "Jesus" on which writing would go in and which wouldn't...Religion just keeps the sheep in order.... Religion+God= social control....

throughout time, skeptics have regarded the bible as mythological, but archeology has established it as historical. opponents have attacked its teaching as primitive and outdated, but its moral and legal concepts and teachings have had a positive influence on societies and cultures throughout the world. it continues to be attacked by science, psychology, and political movements and yet remains just as true and relevant today as it was when it was first written. it is a book that has transformed countless lives and cultures throughout the last 2000 years. no matter how its opponents try to attack, destroy, or discredit it, the bible remains just as strong, just a true, and just as relevant after the attacks as it was before
the accuracy which has been preserved despite every attempt to corrupt, attack, or destroy it, is clear testimony to the fact that the bible is truly God’s word. it should not surprise us that no matter how the bible is attacked, it always comes out unchanged and unscathed
