Please!Tell me this is some kind of joke. What makes you think that all we listen to is Christian Music. I do own a few Christmas Albums, not CD"s. Hey! The "King of Rock & Roll"
was Christian! At The Time, his music was concidered to be the devil's work. Jazz, Rock, New Age, Country, Classical, etc., is what I like, everything but Rap! What boring people we must be to walk around with our IPODs listening to Hymns or Gospel Music all day. I don't think that there are many that you can dance too. Dancing! That's the devil work!
ROCK ON!

I still like the stuff I listened to in high school... Fleetwood Mac, Boston, America, Steve Miller Band... I think they call it "Classic Rock," nowadays. *sigh*

I became a Christian in 1979. I miss some of the Christian artists I used to listen to back then... Ernie and Debbie Rettino, Don Francisco, Bob Bennett, The Jeremiah People... where did THEY go?

On the other hand.... I do like a lot of what I hear on K-Love.. when a song comes on there that I don't like (a lot of Todd Agnew songs and a lot of Natalie Grant songs), I switch to my favorite classic rock or "oldies" stations.

There is two kinds of music in the universe. Music that glorifies God and music that doesn't glorify Him.

I love the music that exalts the name of Christ above all the music in the world. I like to listen to classical orchestra with the beautiful violins and brass and etc.

New Age music is evil because it comes from a movement that denies Christ. It is impossible for the source to be evil and not the music.

Much of country music is man-centered and has nothing to do with God whatsoever. Further a lot of country music is about sadness and hurt which never blesses anyone.

Rock music in either Christian or non-Christian is offensive to me because in most cases the music drowns the message in Christian Rock and worldly rock is filled with incredible evil in that it downgrades woman and promotes ungodliness in the lyrics. A number of groups in the worldly rock culture are avowed Satanists and speak openly of their hatred of God.

If the music come from those walking in spiritual darkness it can only breed evil. If the music comes from those who love and serve God it will produce good. That is common sense.

When I saw this question, before even really reading it, I assumed you were asking Non-Christians if they liked Christian music - it seemed the logical question. There isn't really that much specifically Christian music around, in comparison to other genres.

However, not being specifically Christian myself, I can't answer your ACTUAL question... but I'd say it certainly works in the reverse. There are a lot of Christian artists I really love listening to, including but not limited to some beautiful Christmas carols.

It's all about how it makes you feel!

Love and starshine.

Yeah I enjoy it because I grew up with it 60's-80's but I don't listen to it too much. I like to goof around to the music so my children get embarrassed! I especially like John Denver, Kenny Rogers, Gladys Knight & the Pips and Stevie Wonder. Nice variety huh! "Livin' just enough for the cit-y"

I think it's perfectly acceptable to listen to all kinds of music. It's a beautiful artform used to express human emotion, and among those might be praise to the Creator, but it's definitely not limited to that. One would be missing out on the beauty that diversity can bring to music--from different cultures, different age groups, styles, genres, etc.

Music is amazing. ALL music. My tastes are pretty ecclectic, as I like anything from Cecilia Bartoli and Renee Flemming to Killswitch Engage and Anti-Flag. It just depends on personal taste.

We have so many non christian cds- I dont' listen to them anymore, but when I do hear a song I used to absolutely love I still like it- I just desire to listen to praise and worship more than anything else. But I used to listen to "The Cure" and "Cold Play" and "U2" and I also used to LOVE the "Moody Blues!" there is a lot of music I like. I even like a lot of country music too! My husband has like 600 cds- it's crazy. His new favorite and I like them too is "The White Stripes" and "The Strokes"

I must add though that when I used to listen to so many secular songs, I would become more self absorbed, and my mind was always thinking of things other than God. That is why I love praise and worship, because it keeps my mind on Him and I love to praise Him! It brings me JOY to listen to lyrics that bring Him glory-- where as most secular music I would listen to would bring me heartbreak, or get me in moods that were not glorifying to God. (And I used to love meloncholy music, ones that would make me want to write poetry)
