We have a yearly ornament exchange at our Christmas party. I have run out of ideas of the exchanging part. We have run the gamet on drawing names, numbers, going forward and backwards, ect. Any fun idea's out there?

Not often but sometimkes, due to my diet, I get unplanned, surprising bout of diarrhea. I have a two hour drive sometimes from work to my home. The other night, it happened again. I went to see if I had to go before I left work and everything was fine.

Almost home, my stomach goes "wooble wooble". I grab my stomach and i am thinking uh oh. I continue driving feeling nothing but my stomach making movemets. All of a sudden, what i thought was warning turned into an emergency. I had to evacuate some diarrhea and it needed to happen right then and there. I was on a two lane country road. I pulled over, ran into the bushes, dropped my pants, and pushed. I swear I must have squirted 2 feet. My stomach hurt so bad and I had cramps. Afterwards, I waddled over to the car. I had napkinds in my glove compartment. I wiped and threw the napkins on the ground.

After that, I went home and took a shower. My question is, has this ever happened to you? I can't be the only one!

My friend, Monica, is an accomplished harpist who frequently plays for weddings, receptions, parties and other such events. She is also blonde and has an appropriately cherubic face.
She was on her way to an engagement at a hotel and stepped into an elevator with her large golden harp. Just before the doors closed, a distinguished gray-haired man stepped on.

As the elevator rose, he looked thoughtfully first at her and then her harp and asked, "And just how far up are you going?"

I need help answering the last quesiton. PLEASE!

When I was first told that I had to write a letter I said ‘Oh my goodness. What am I going to write about?” I knew how to answer these questions, but I couldn’t decide how to put my words down on the paper. But after thinking long and hard about how to write it down I think I decided how to do it.
To me confirmation means many different things. It means that I will be accepted into the Church as an adult. But more importantly it gives me the choice to choose if I want to be a Catholic or not. When I was baptized I didn’t have a choice on my religion. Now that I understand more about my religion I can make that decision for myself.
I feel that I am ready to celebrate the sacrament of confirmation because

I have what appears to be a huge maggot wiggling around in the grass in my backyard. It's about six inches long, and about as big around as a cigar. It's disgusting!! I won't touch it, but my older son isn't afraid to help me get rid of it. He thinks we should take it to some scientist or whatever, because of it's enormous size. He thinks it's an interesting specimen that should be studied.

Suggestions?? It's sooooooo disgusting!!

I dont know what to do for xmas this year..my parents dont want me spending money on them but I would like to get them a little something. Since my mom loves peanuts and trail mixes I was going to get her a bunch of those from Whole Foods..something simple..but I dont know what to do for my dad..he collects coins, likes to get baseball cards signed by players...ahh I just dont know!!

It poses this question so I was hoping that maybe some Christians might care to give an explanation. I've heard people say things like "God cured my cancer" when they've been fortunate, due to medical treatment, to fully recover. It's just interesting that nobody has ever mysteriously grown a limb due to prayer so I thought maybe Christians could explain phenomena.

If it requires good works, how do you explain verses such as Romans 10:9

"that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved"

and John 6:40?

"For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him, may have eternal life;; and I Myself will raise him up on the last day."

Then again, it definitely seems to suggest that you need good works. Look at verses such as:

James 2:17+24

(17) - "Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead, being by itself."
(24) - "You see that a man is justified by works, and not by faith alone."

Revelation 22:12

"Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to every man according to what he has done."

Please go into as much detail as possible explaining your views. I'm really confused on the matter, and would like to know what others think about it. Thanks, and God bless!
