Someone asked "If God isn't real, than why do so many people believe in him." He argued that so many people would not believe in God if he did not exist. If numbers determines the likelyhood that God exists, wouldn't Buddha be the real God being that there are more Buddhists than any other religion. China makes up 1/4 of the population and most of China's citizens are Buddhists. All I am saying is that far more people believe in Buddha than God, and if numbers are an indication of anything, than Buddha must be the man.

i dont see the point why cant you just belive in yourself how come you cant give yourself hope (to christians)?

There is this sin that is driving me crazy. I repent of it and then I do it again, repent of it, and then do it again. I can't seem to break the cycle. I haveen't been praying much for God to help me with this sin because I have been so concentrated on repenting of it over and over again. I am depressed a lot ofthe time and I feel like I can't do anything because there is always this guilt hanging over my head. God has even taken the pleasure out of this particular sin, yet I continue to do it anyway. Can somebody please help me?

We're constantly being bombarded with how we have to respect islam as a religion.

Well I dont - respect must be earned, and there is not one single thing to do with the whole global following of islam that is worthy of my respect. It is only worthy of my complete contempt.

Today I read a Christian on R&S state he didn;t like evolution because it 'gives no hope' and that it is 'just a theory' (sic).

I wonder, do any other Christians here discount scientific theory (such as gravity) because they feel that science doesn't have enough 'hope'?

Do you think evolutionary science (such as the development of vaccines) gives no hope? or should these scientists cease their vanity and pray instead?

Ive just put my tree up and the first decoration that goes on is a glass owl which belonged to my grandmother and dates from the 1930's. It was the first decoration put on the tree by my gan then my mum and now me. Any one else have similar rituals and customs?

that they have made? I'm an Atheist from the United States and I find this trend very troubling. It worries me because I have always admired how Europeans are more socially liberal and how they don't have as many fanatical evangelicals as we do, but now with all the Muslims moving in at such an alarming rate I'm worried that the E.U. might become too religious.
