hiya people, i am student at university in Spain, i am studying for being doctor; anyway i would like to doing my speciality in the USA, but my mother and family don't support me; they told me is not a good idea to living there, and i won't be happy in the US cuz life is so different than spanish one... what do you think? please, give me your opinion

I think you would do well here I have several friends who visted Spain while in the service and they now live in Spain so if they can adjust there I'm sure you can adjust here and you will never know unless you try if you don't like it you can always go back.....

It depends on how open you are to it. It can be a culture shock, or it can be a very positive experience. Lots of Europeans still come to study or work. I'm sure there has to be some forum where you can hear from their experiences.

Also - where you go can have very different results. Some major cities are very cosmopolitan; others (even large cities) can be very 9-to-5, and be completely dead after business hours. Some smal ltowns, university or otherwise, can be much more culturally interesting than certain major cities.

It really depends on what you are looking for.

That is predicated on your feelings of US culture.If you like it and desire to assimilate you will love it.If you like a smaller and less diverse culture you would likely enjoy your country more.
