Don't "tell" them anything. Just be a good friend, and be yourself. They will see the fruits of your beliefs, if those beliefs are good.
If they are saying challenging things to you (deliberately trying your faith), simply state what you have learned through spiritual experience, "eg. I feel in my heart that God is real." Or say "I believe these things and I like to believe in them. I allow you the same privilege to believe as you wish." It's the testimony from your HEART that counts. Don't bother trying to "defend" the faith with words. It doesn't work. Actions speak louder.
Be a true and faithful friend, understanding, compassionate, etc. That is what Jesus did.
Attack and defense is a situation in which neither party can receive any real spiritual enlightenment. Just BE who you are, and be content with that. Words can often be very counterproductive.
3 Nephi - 11: 29 - http://scriptures.lds.org/en/3_ne/11/29#29
29 For verily, verily I say unto you, he that hath the spirit of contention is not of me, but is of the devil, who is the father of contention, and he stirreth up the hearts of men to contend with anger, one with another.

christians like to think their "testimony" about Christ is the best thing. Well many different people from all forms of religions have their own testimony of how their religion has changed their life. Don't bother asking them who they think created the Earth and what happens after you die. Just because Christianity answers that question doesn't make it right. By the way, you can say that God created the Earth but if you don't say that Jesus is God, and the Holy Spirit is God and that the Father is God then christians will say you're believing in the wrong god and you'll go to hell. If you really want to win people to Christ then provide a rational, logical explanation as to how god is both 3 Gods but yet 1 God

Listen to what they say with an open mind. Why do you believe in a god? Did you grow up without religion and magically imagine a god? Most people are raised to believe in a god and it can be hard to break them out of it. Until you question your beliefs and come up with valid reasons why you believe in them you are just a follower.

Don't really say anything in defense, because there is not anything you can do to prove to them that God is real. Just believe what you believe and let it go, and show respect to their beliefs. Im sure they have good reasons for not believing, as you have good reasons for believing.

You can politely tell them to stop because your religious. Well, you cant say much in defense being that religion is based on faith. Also, don't say anything they think will be converting them because that will just make it worse. Don't say anything that will belittle them either like,"your lost," because that will just show arrogance and bigotry.

Do not defend your religion. If they ask share your faith with them and pray for them. I would advice you to study and know what you belief. Being confrontational just makes them less likely to ever give God a chance.

Don't let them put you down but don't put down their beliefs either.
Tell how you have felt the spirit of God and that until they have felt that they won't/can't understand you're beliefs. Let them know the love you have felt from God and how it has changed your life.
The best thing is to agree to disagree.
Good Luck

I probably wouldn't say much, unless they are making fun of you, and just tell them to back off. Why should they care?
Also, maybe you could start hanging out with other friends who have similar beliefs as you do. Are there any people your age you know from your church?
Don't listen to the other jerks who posted on here, doing exactly (probably worse) than what your friends are doing and what your trying to defend yourself against.

Don't act like you're trying to convert them, that just feeds the fire. I often say to them (ONly if they won't let up) "If you think there's no God, what do you care? Does it make a difference to you who I pray to if you think it won't do any good. I'll pray for you. It can't hurt."
Don't use this on most people, it's very hostile. Pray for them. Be kind and have morals. Actions speak louder than words. They shouldn't be cruel about religion, it seems to go against their whole idea. All you can really do is pray.
Remember one of the beatitudes: Blessed are you who suffer in My Name, your reward will be great in heaven.
God Bless You!
