It's easy to ridicule the celebs, but I do have sympathy for them (and Brittney's new/ex driver for example) when the paparazzi completely surrounds their car and basically pins them in.
If it were me, I'd install a truck or diesel train horn, blast it 3 times as a warning, then gun the engine, and whoever got run over, that would be their problem. Of course, that would get me thrown in jail. But I don't think it should.
As long as paparazzi do their job from a distance without physically interfering with someone's ability to move about freely and live their life, I don't have any problem with that. That's the price of celebrity.
But when the get in people's faces and interfere with their lives physically, I think it falls under the same rule as feeling physically threatened by an intruder or being assaulted, and then you have the right to fight back by whatever means necessary, even if it causes the attacker/intruder injury, or even death.
