I'm boycotting toys this year due to all of the recent recalls and I'd like some ideas of what to stuff my daughter's stocking with. I stuffed it this morning with the following and I still have room:
Three Sesame Street ornaments
Jr. Slinky (made in the USA)
Stickers
Underwear (potty training is hopefully just around the corner)
M&M Candy Cane
Backyardigans Band-Aids
Toddler toothbrush
Toddler training paste
Any other ideas?? She's getting mostly books under the tree flash, cards, clothes, as well as a few games, so I don't want to put books into her stocking. Thanks!

Thanks for the ideas thus far, but we TiVo, so we don't need movies. She, too, has hat and mittens and tons of sunglasses, hair stuff, as well as jewelry as she's quite the girly girl already.

My son is 3 but I am going to Michael's craft store and getting the miniature baking tools. Rolling pin, whisk, spatula's etc. He loves to help me in the kitchen and he is getting his own real usable stuff.
I am also making him and my daughter matching teddy bears. You can avoid the made in china thing by making your own or getting a Vermont Teddy Bear.

How about a new set of crayons and a coloring book? Maybe some of Crayolas Model Magic clay. It's not so much like clay than it is foam. It might take a little supervision, but ultimately it's safe and fun.
Bathtub crayons are great too! Those were my favorite when I was real little!

Little toys like at Kohls they have little clear balls with animal toys inside that twist and turn. Lots of fun for the little ones. Toys R Us prob'ly has them too. Or some art stuff like finger paints and glitter markers.

What about things to put in her hair, bath floaties or the ones you wind up and they swim, sockies, slippers, and maybe even bubble bath ( sesame street makes soap in colors that they can paint the tub or themselves with my daughter loved it!)
