In other words, if your underlying assumption is: “There is no God”
…and these are the “glasses” through which you look at the world:

Then even the most definitive, indisputable, reproducible proof of the existence of God would still have to be dismissed based on the underlying assumption, “There is no God”.

Kind of like saying, “There is no moon”:
http://www.revisionism.nl/Moon/The-Mad-Revisionist.htm

Does this mean that:
1) Atheists who ask for proof are actually agnostics?
2) Even if God does exist, it would be impossible for even God Himself to prove it to an atheist?

Little Johnny: A Moral Story

One day at the end of class little Johnny's teacher has the class go home and think of a story and then conclude the moral of that story....

The next day Johnny tells his story....

"My dad fought in the Vietnam war, his plane was shot down over enemy territory. He jumped out before it crashed with only a case of beer, a machine gun and a machete. On the way down he drank the case of beer. Unfortunately he landed right in the middle of 100 Vietnamese soldiers. He shot 70 with his machine gun, but ran out of bullets, so he pulled out his machete and killed 20 more, but the blade on his machete broke, so he killed the last ten with his bare hands"

Teacher looks in shock at Johnny and asks if there is possibly any moral to his story....Johnny replies, "Yeah... don't mess with my dad when he's been drinking"

Read Pv 22:6 - train up a Child in the way He SHOULD GO, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Not in the way he is going. Thats where many parents let their children loose. Love towards children also includes chastisement. Children getting too involved in TV, other sorts entertainment, and thus having no interest in the WORD of GOD. Its your responsibility to train them.

Where they need advice, advice them. Using the stick wont spoil them But its for their better-ment. Also, parents should have a burden to pray for them - sealing them in the Blood of Christ. Because they are living in the wicked world. If you dont, you will have to give account of this at the Day of the Lord.

If you havent done yet, START right away. All these to be done with the guidance of the HolySpirit.

Are you doing your duties?

The answers that you're getting for your islmic questions are mainly being given by people who don't know a d*mn thing about the religion. 85% of YA are atheist and faith rejecters anyway, they don't know anything (L.M.A.O!!!) If you seriously want accurate answers and understanding of what the religion is really about, why don't you visit a mosque or islamic website????? Or do you just want to stir up some more controversy? Don't be so gullible

Why aren't people adopting all these little lives? If they see abortion as murder, then why isn't throwing fertalized eggs away murder?

*I wouldn't presume to my stance on this. You might be surprised. But I am curious to people's answers.

With Advent approaching, some parishes in my area are offering communal reconciliation, where you go and make a general confession (nothing specific) like going up for communion. If one is truly penitent, does this count as confession with absolution?

If you had a question about what a scripture means and want to have an understanding in it, would you like to have it explained to you and to know what it means and understand it at the same time?

I personally think its very helpful to have a verse explained so that you can get the full extent of understanding what it means and have it taken to heart. There is no harm in needing an explaination about a Scripture that you don't understand.

If God is an actual being and God is male, then God must have male genitals. Why? Why would God have genitals unless there was a Goddess He's having sex with? I mean, He wouldn't have a gender without genitals, and He wouldn't need genitals unless He had something to do with them.

OK. I understand that people are up in arms (almost literally from todays board) but can we please put a few things into perspective. Sudanese fighters have declared war on France's peacekeeping troops as they are due to go over to help refugees stuck between Chad, Sudan and Darfur. The problems in Sudan go far beyond Islam and a teacher. It is an extremely contentious region. Realize how many refugees are dying on the border and how many are trapped there trying to get out of Darfur (250,000). I feel that we are taking very complicated issues and oversimplifying them just to attack the Muslim people. Our country invaded an Islamic country and since you'd have to note that unrest around the world has only grown and it's not just with Islamic nations. Russia, China, North Korea.... not Islamic countries. This is a larger problem than just a teacher and a teddy bear but do you think it just gives you license to attack? I hope not. Thoughts? Thank you.

For Better or Worse

The woman's husband had been slipping in and out of a coma for several months, yet she had stayed by his bedside every single day. One day, when he came to, he motioned for her to come nearer.

As she sat by him, he whispered, eyes full of tears, "You know what? You have been with me all through the bad times. When I got fired, you were there to support me. When my business failed, you were there. When I got shot, you were by my side. When we lost the house, you stayed right here. When my health started failing, you were still by my side ....You know what?"
"What dear?" She gently asked, smiling as her heart began to fill with warmth. "I think you're bad luck."
