Here are the numbers for most Catholics and greatest density of Catholics. Most Catholics, California 10 million, New York 7.3 million, Texas 4.4 million, Illinois 3.9 million, Pennsylvania 3.8 million. Greatest Catholic Density, Rhode Island 52%, Massachusetts 49%, Connecticut 40%, New York 40%, Pennsylvania 40%.

I would guess that it would be a New England state that has the highest percent of Catholics, because they have large Italian and Irish populations, both of which are predominately Catholic countries.

Louisiana. Where I live, the population is probably at least 70% Catholic.

Both Connecticut and Massachusetts have a very large Catholic population.

Don't have the definite answer but when i lived in Mass it seemed like everyone was Catholic there.
