I don't want to hear "society" as the answer. :)

I had a very good laugh...
when Philip Pullman contemptably labelled The chronicles of Narnia as "Religious Propaganda"
Ha. what a joke...he is a bigot...but thinks that everyone else besides himself is. He's aloud to write a book with admittantly "anti-God" claims, to put it mildy, but CS Lewis isn't aloud to write a book with a Christian unlying theme.
I'm no relgious person, but I can't stands fools like that.

We have no fear of eternal death
We have no fear of the End of this system of things
We have the promises of a eternal body and life
Where no pain exsists
No Death exsists
The reunion of people we once loved and knew
The entire universe to explore GOD's infinite galaxies
God's Truth and Perfection
To walk with Jesus and ask him any question we ever had
To worship and adore our Lord with such infinite happiness
How wonderful is this to you?

leaving cookies out for santa
setting up the tree same day each year
going to church service

I want to know your ideas of how to input some new traditions. Creative ideas!

If the early Church believed in sola Scriptura, why do the creeds of the early Church always say “we believe in the Holy Catholic Church,” and not “we believe in Holy Scripture”?

For example, the Apostle's Creed, dating within 50 years of the New Testament and ascribed to the original Apostles, said:
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy *catholic church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and life everlasting.

Is there a differance in sins.Is a lie a worse sin than murder or do they all count as sin.It seems that people will support their religion and believe in it completely until it interfers with their personal life.I always thought that a sin is a sin no matter what.People now seem to pick and choose which sins to consider sins.Arent adultery,pre-marital sex, false witness things like these sins. But yet they are dismissed because the religious people don't mind them so much or they happily participate in these things, while condeming someone else to hell for their sins. Are sins only the things that you don't agree with, and if you aren't bothered by it then is it not a sin.How does this work

A young blonde was on vacation and driving through the Everglades . She wanted to take home a pair of genuine alligator shoes in the worst way, but was very reluctant to pay the high prices the local vendors were asking.
After becoming very frustrated with the "no haggle on prices" attitude of one of the shopkeepers, the blonde shouted, "Well then, maybe I'll just go out and catch my own alligator so I can get a pair of shoes for free!"

The shopkeeper said with a sly, knowing smile, "Little lady, just go and give it a try!"

The blonde headed out toward the swamps, determined to catch an alligator.

Later in the day, as the shopkeeper is driving home, he pulls over to the side of the levee where he spots that same young woman standing waist deep in the murky bayou water, shotgun in hand. Just then, he spots a huge 9-foot 'gator swimming rapidly toward her. With lightning speed, she takes aim, kills the creature and hauls it onto the slimy bank of the swamp. Lying nearby were seven more of the dead creatures, all lying on their backs. The shopkeeper stood on the bank, watching in silent amazement.

The blonde struggled and flipped the 'gator onto its back. Rolling her
eyes heaven-ward and screaming in great frustration, she shouts out:

"Damn.... ......... THIS ONE'S BAREFOOT TOO!"

I'm assuming the prohibition on naming excludes people. Is it legal in Islamic law to name one's child Muhammad?

Blasphemy is to speak disrespectfully of God. Taking the name of Mohammed in vain cannot be the same as taking the name of God in vain, unless you actually worship Mohammed. If there is no God but Allah, then calling Teddy-Mohammed "blasphemy" is polytheism. Polytheism and idolatry of a man. So anyway, how is "insulting Mohammed" equal to blasphemy?

And the 'background' music is so loud or so obnoxious that you can't think. I know I'm dealing with an old brain and - with distractions - it doesn't function well so does it bother anyone else? Sometimes I think the music is there to either amuse the employees or to keep them awake. It doesn't matter if it annoys the customers. Unfortunately my local grocery and drug store do this often.

A certain book store I used to frequent had a corner devoted to music and videos. The music manager would play one type of music and the book manager would play another and each would see who could play the loudest. To customers, it was sheer cacphoney - discordant sound - and not at all conducive to choosing a book. I'll bet someone in an office somewhere wondered why this book store sold so few books that they had to go out of business.

Background music was originally designed to keep large, cavernous buildings from having a 'dead' sound. It was never meant to be intrusive.

So...was it mainly the choice of subjects that tipped the balance for Athena, or was her envy of Arachne's skill the greater prompt for her actions? This is a matter of opinion, I'm not suggesting links to texts.
And when Arachne was metamorphosed into a spider, did they supposedly already exist? Or is this a kind of spider creation myth?

Hinduism is the religion that is most misunderstood and is the most wrongly practiced. It is the world's oldest religion and as a result it has become mixed with culture and superstition. The wealth of Hinduism itself has become lost and very few Hindus know what true Hinduism is.

Shall we seperate the Hindu religion from the culture and superstition that it has become mixed with and thus bring out the true beauty of Hinduism.
