I'm sticking to the tooth fairy. To even think about spending eternity with a bunch of deluded nut cases that believe crap like this is abhorrent to anyone with a brain. What about all the saviors and gods before Christianity? Many of their stories are surprisingly similar to that of Jesus, even in name. Virgin births, miracles, death by crucifixion, resurrection, it's all there and plenty more. If you think about it, you'll find that you're as much as an atheist as myself, only that I believe in one less god than you. At least take the time to read about Krishna. After that read the bible and see what it really says, not what you think it says or were told it says. I'm continually amazed at the ignorance of people. I see you as no better than Muslims of Sudan. Research it and you'll find you have a lot in common with them, including the same God. They're simply reading the old books more carefully and sticking to scripture.

Do you realize the wonderful things that Santa grants us as believers?

We have no fear of coal in our stockings.
We have no fear of receiving no presents on Christmas.
We have the promises of a good night to all.
Where no Scrooges exist.
No Grinch exists.
The reunion of cookies and milk.
Cloudy nights illuminated by Rudolph's red nose.
Santa's jolliness and cheer.
To fly with reindeer and deliver gifts.
To shake his belly like a bowlful of jelly.
How wonderful is this to you?

Will Jesus grant me a Playstation 3?
Will Jesus grant me a new Honda Civic?
Will Jesus grant me a new 42" Samsung 1080p LCD?

Surely Jesus would know how WONDERFUL a Playstation 3 on a 1080p HDTV screen would be... and watching Lost Season 3 on Blue Ray would be like lots of little miracles for my eyes to enjoy!

I need Jesus to grant me something tangible... something that will magically appear in a designated place without involving my wallet or credit card number.

Can Jesus do this for me? PLEASE!!!

It's a beautiful promise. I will go further:
He grants us the opportunity to share in His work by sharing the gospel.
Promises of never being alone.
Promise that all earthly things will pass away.
Freedom from the enemy and his demons- with Jesus they have no power over us.
Spiritual gifts from the Holy Spirit

He is a great, great God.

One thing I never understood about religions is the fact that they all promise a better place for their followers at their deaths, yet their followers decide to live.

It would be nice if "christians' realized it. i agree quite a few of them are aggressive and not loving. im pretty sure that is not how we are supposed to love out our lives. pretty sure it isn't drawing in many non-christians. glad to see how successfully we are in loving god and others. it's wonderful

That is an absolutely wonderful thing. That gives me something to look forward to. It makes dealing with all the pain on Earth actually worth it.
