I'm thinking the scene from Life of Brian where the guy has been condemned tobe stoned for sayin Jehovah. Realizing he has nothing to lose he starts dancing and singing Jehovah, Jehovah.

In our case how much respect and tolerance do we have to give hte Muslim world when every attempt to do so is rebuffed and a large portion wants our culture destroyed.

I seriously want to grab a teddy bear and dance around singing Mohammed, Mohammed and then hold up my copy of the Satanic verses. Then I will post it on Youtube along with videos of my wife driving somewhere or worse, showing her knees in public

Religious belief can never be accepted as a good enough reason for intolerance of others. Whether it is how fundamentalist Muslims treat cartoonists and freedom of expression or how Christian fundamentalists treat homosexuals and freedom of expression, intolerance of diversity in society can never have legal sanction, regardless if the particular group believes that their belief has divine sanction or not. "Acceptable" by one group's standards will inevitably be "unacceptable" by some other group so civic laws can only be passed on the basis of protecting the safety and security of the general populace, not upon the grounds of what a group considers a "sin."

i had a beutiful supper and all i said was that piece of halibut was good enough for jehovah.
that attitude was prevelent in jesus day.the jews took gods name out of the old testament so to say jehovah was considered blasphemy, when jehovah wanted people to use his name.
really then the muslims are no further on than what the jews were 2000 years ago,at least in fanaticism.
