The devil, if he existed, would be stronger. According to the Bible the devil is an angel who fell out of God's grace and was thus banished from Heaven. If you believe in such stuff then a Heavenly body, no matter how evil, must be more powerful than a human, for one thing he's immortal. All he's gotta do is wait 'til you die.

the devil doesn't have a soul. Well by this point I'm sure that he has several but what I mean is that he doesn't have one that is truly his own. There is a certain power in having a soul that the devil just doesn't have. As for being stronger than humans, against the whole of humanity he is not stronger, against individuals he can be. It's a matter of individual willpower and faith. Of course I'm assuming you mean more powerful as opposed to brute physical strength.

The devil as angelic entity exists at a higher level of being than a human person. As such his intellect and will would far surpass these same qualities of a human nature. However, the devil does have a weakness, her pride.
