Would you be irritated and sad? Hurt and bewildered? That is how I felt yesterday being told that as a Catholic I was not a Christian, rejected by my brothers and sisters in Christ. On that not could I ask your forgiveness for my posts? I was not aware one came across as proud and boastful. Please forgive me.
Peace Be With You,
Debra

One of my characters is to have a degree in divinity (having studied at university of chicago and influenced by Mircea Eliade and Petru Culiano) but has specialty in Black Majic/Satanism ... I am having difficulty in finding a way to give her (the character) this education in a credible way. I have not found any professional school that might teach such. Any suggestions?

If the holy trinity is God, prophet Jesus pbuh, and the Holy spirit and God is all of them in one. Then why do Christians say only the prophet Jesus's name when they are in angst, or feeling distressed, or something out of the blue happens. Basically when the say it in vain.

If they believe God came into prophet Jesus's body why don't they say God. Not that I am condoning saying Gods name in vain.

I just dont understand. Jesus is a man. they believe that right. But they believe God is in Jesus, so why do they not say God other than Jesus. Is it easier to think that God was just like them.

Please clarify it for me. I have respect for all religions and would love to hear your opinions.

I work in a small community with a collection of shops. It's very slow this time of year, so I often chat with a worker from the shop next to mine. He is very nice, not threatening/hitting on, and also a lot like me, personality wise. He works for a store which has another location directly opposite my store, so it's the two stores (owned by the same person) and me in the middle. The worker often has to visit the other store to get supplies (they are a restaurant and a coffee shop respectively) for his store. Yesterday he came in and we were chatting, when he told me that the workers over at the other store talk about me all the time. They say that I am a gold-digger (because my husband is a doctor) and say mean things about my clothes, and basically pick apart my outward appearance. I was shocked when he told me they always talk about me, because most of them are nice to my face. I am really hurt that these people would say mean things about me when I regularly patronize their store!

The people who knew and saw Jesus had "little faith" how could we, who have never seen him, be expected to have faith in him?

Matthew 8:26
26And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm. (KJV)

Matthew 17:20
20And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. (KJV)

Also, does anybody else play any other games and not have problems with it?
What about Spore, the new game coming out next year that lets you create an organism and let it EVOLVE over time, and they laugh by also adding a possible religion for your species.
How do you feel about those kinds of games? personally im gonna love em, have no problem with em, and cant wait to play em. So, as for YOUR opinions?

After reading a few very hate filled answers yesterday I started thinking about the topic of hatered in general, because I must admit some of them made me very angry, so why do we all hate each other so? Why do so many hate anyone who is different from them whether it be religiously, sexually, etnically, matirially etc.

I believe that all people are connected to each other, we all live in a society but that connection goes far beyond that. So if you imagine our society as a glass filled with clear water and imagine hatred as red paint. What happens if you place a drop of red paint into the water? It doesn't just sit there like a blob, but it colours the whole water pale red, and the more paint you add the more red the water will become.

So when you hate someone you are in fact hating yourself, because that hatered affects you just as much as it affects anyone around you.

So why do we all hate each other so? Can't we just love and respect one another instead?

In search of adventure, an attractive young lady decided to head for the Far East, and stowed herself away on the first ship available. After a month, she was discovered by the captain, who was surprised to see that, despite her time at sea, she was remarkably well fed and clean. Though realising she must have been befriended by someone on board, he was surprised when she admitted that she had been to the cabin of his trusted first officer every morning. Apparently, the nice young man provided a hot bath and three-course meal, and said that he would continue to do so until they reached Japan.
"And what did he ask in return?" demanded the captain.
"Well, you might say that he took advantage," blushed the girl.
"I'll say he did," chuckled the old sea dog, rubbing his whisckers. "You're on the Liverpool to Birkenhead ferry

What I find even more ridiculous is that Muslims that come into this country bring in there religous beliefs in with it. and we have to abide by it. They don't wear uniforms in schools cause it's there religion to wear a certain dress or item of clothing. I'm not against any peoples beliefs but I will say that if your going to come into this country you damn well respect our way of doing things and learn to respect our traditions.
Also I personally think religion is the cause of all wars.

If I am at work and make a mistake and someone I work with tells me I have made a mistake and shows me what I have done wrong and the right way to do it I get offended. I feel as if they think they are higher then me and have more knowledge. I mean we all make mistakes I understand. It's almost as if I think they are happy that they can show me something I messed up on.
