The people who knew and saw Jesus had "little faith" how could we, who have never seen him, be expected to have faith in him?

Matthew 8:26
26And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm. (KJV)

Matthew 17:20
20And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. (KJV)

The Holy Spirit strengthens our faith. “Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed”.

It also says "blessed are they who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled".

I think what Sara is trying to say is that there were plenty of people who did not believe that Jesus was anything other than a man. No special powers, no godly connections. Jesus was not able to convince these people back then. Why should a person who is only allowed to read about what happened be influenced to believe if there were people back then who did not believe and saw all of this stuff first hand.

I consider this to be a very good point. Sara, you have earned a star.

John 20:28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My LORD and my God.
John 20:29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

The good thing is that if you have a "little" faith, God will recognize and honor it. If you want to believe and have faith, God will give reveal Himself to you.

That's a very insightful question. If he could really convert a barrel of fish into enough fish to feed thousands of people and he could convert water to wine, wouldn't anyone of that time be willing to believe? If so few believed, then maybe that was all a bunch of bullshit.

Oh, and this is a religion forum so you can ask whatever you want...

Not one of the faithful, but in their defense:

Would you need much faith if you'd literally hung out with the guy?

We have the Bible they did not...awesome question...would we recognize Him today if we were walking with Him everyday? Many of the disciples did believe in time but it took miracles to do it...

Because it's GOD's will for us to believe in HIM. Not for us to not believe. It's hard to believe in something that you can't see but if you continue to walk with HIM on a day to day bases, your belief will grow.

GOD BLESS
