Look guys, I'm a Christian, and I too, oppose this motion, but then again, we humans, could not be sure whether God is a man or a woman. What I am asking from all of you now is the pros and cons of this debate. The reasons should be real, like mine, in which I think it has something to do with Michael Angelo's paintings, in which he painted God as a woman. Please, I really NEED answers!!! please help me! thank you so much!!!!

I neither oppose nor support your premise.
The Bible says that God Created Man and Woman in His image...this is from Genesis 1:27 "So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them." (NKJV). The evidence further states in Genesis 2:23-24 that when a man and a woman are joined in marriage, they shall become one flesh...a completed person.
In the language of the Bible, like in many languages besides English, when a dominant figure is talked about, or the plural is mentioned, the masculine pronoun is used. Our understanding as human beings is limited to what we know. God is so far above us, that we probably will not know how to perceive the gender of God, if He has one. You see...I used the masculine once again. Jesus Christ is a man, and He called God the Father...but there are numerous verses which God refers to Himself in feminine terms, like a hen protecting her chicks, for example. God is a complete being--all three parts--The Father, the Son, and The Holy Spirit...these are simplified for the human mind to comprehend. Down through the ages, the majority of cultures have recognized the male as the dominant or ruling gender, so naturally the masculine form would be preferred for God. When we finally understand it, we will probably be sitting at the feet of Christ in Heaven. God Bless!

"Let us make man in our image. In the image of God created He them, MALE AND FEMALE created He them."
To be in His image has nothing to do with gender as God is NOT a physical Being. Therefore He is as much a She as a He. The He part is simply traditional since the notion of a Supremely Potent Divinity comes from a society that was patriarchal in nature.
Don't sweat it. It's a detail and anyone who can create more than 54,000 different kinds of beetle can be trusted to sweat the details. So let Him/Her.

Actually, God has no sex, but while he was with us as Jesus, he was male. However, in the Bible, God is also referred to as a mother hen with her chicks. So, if you are more comfortable thinking of God at maternal, I don't see a problem with it.
As far as man being made in God's image, that refers to having free will, not that God has 2 arms, legs, ect.

God is male. Are you a Bible believer?
The Bible refers constantly to God as a He.
Example: Genesis 2 : 27 "So God created man in HIS own image, in the image of God created HE
him; male and female created HE them."
The Bible says we do not marry in Heaven we are like the angels. I believe, and others do too, that male and female will be equals in heaven. I really like that. (Mark 12:25)

God refers to himself as the Father countless times. Christ came to earth as a man. The Holy Spirit is not given a gender desigantion.

God is not a woman. God gave us the ten commandments, and wrote them in stone. A woman could never put anything in writing, much less in stone.
Enjoy this funny youtube video instead of fretting about God's gender.

God is typically referred to in masculine form simply because of his dominance and supremacy and how the followers of ancient times interpreted his messages. I very well could be wrong, but God, being a spiritual being, has no specific gender.

Adam was created first in the image of God(male) ..and Eve was created from the rib of Adam.
Besides all that, if God were a woman...the earth would already be destroyed..because of PMS. God would be crying all the time and hormonal. And eat alot of chocolate.
