David B, I'm not asuming everyone is religious (nor am I), I am just asuming that only those people who have something to say, will answer. I would never answer a question like this one for example :) cause no religion affects my lifestyle in any way

Larissa. I like your questions but you start from an assumption that we all have religeous beliefs. Anyway, as an agnostic, I do not feel religeon has been totally negative in its affect on my life. Hymn singing in Primary School days (1940s!) still means I know the words of the most used ones on the radio reilgeous services. I also met many good religeous . friends as a child. Church people helped tirelessly in the relief of distressed adults and children in wartime days. So I remember them.
But door knockers and other 'missionaries' p**s me off totally.
Back to your question; The Ten Commandments are a religeous set of belielfs that all non believers can take note of. They are a target, althougth not always reached. They have had a real affect on my life plus a theme I have successfully passed on to two generations - being kind and helpful to others. DB

True religion is not about mere human habits of life; true religion is the Revelation of your eternal Divine Destiny as a perfected Son or Daughter of God in Jesus Christ.
Knowing in living Spirit-born faith daily this glorious destiny we have, and beginning here and now, it becomes easier to continue to have deep spiritual changes in your soul and mind which are proven to you and to others by the increasing performance of the fruits of the divine Spirit:
Page-2054 "And the fruits of the divine Spirit which are yielded in the lives of Spirit-born and God-knowing mortals are: loving service, unselfish devotion, courageous loyalty, sincere fairness, enlightened honesty, undying hope, confiding trust, merciful ministry, unfailing goodness, forgiving tolerance, and enduring peace."
The above quote of Epochal Revelation and by Jesus is fully in the public domain and may be shared widely.
Peace and progress in Spirit and in Truth,
Brother Dave, a Jesusonian Christian Truthist

Religion....didn't change me, my realationship with Christ is what changed me. My language, things I watch, places I go. The closer that I became to Christ the more I want to be like Him. God is not religion, it is a realationship. I changed the people I hung out with. There is a saying if you hang out with dogs you'll get fleas. I couldn't hang out with the people who were doing the things that were bad for me. Although I still love them and pray for them.

It has helped me consider God and his ways on a daily basis. It has taught me to work hard and enjoy my work. It has kept me from being a murderer, thief, liar, terrorist, etc. It made me realize that this world is only a stepping stone into eternity. It showed me how to love that which is righteous and hate that which is evil.

Uh, no. Moral values for this atheist come from within. I don't need a sky fairy to wave her wand at me. Values from within are much stronger than those values people obey BECAUSE someone tells them it is the right behavior.

rebel get a light saber & you shall see the light
I no longer judge others as it is not my task. doesn't mean you care less but guidance is done by one helping hand, not two.
