After reading a few very hate filled answers yesterday I started thinking about the topic of hatered in general, because I must admit some of them made me very angry, so why do we all hate each other so? Why do so many hate anyone who is different from them whether it be religiously, sexually, etnically, matirially etc.

I believe that all people are connected to each other, we all live in a society but that connection goes far beyond that. So if you imagine our society as a glass filled with clear water and imagine hatred as red paint. What happens if you place a drop of red paint into the water? It doesn't just sit there like a blob, but it colours the whole water pale red, and the more paint you add the more red the water will become.

So when you hate someone you are in fact hating yourself, because that hatered affects you just as much as it affects anyone around you.

So why do we all hate each other so? Can't we just love and respect one another instead?

primoa1970: I am not talking about hatered against Christians, in fact i have met many people who claimed to be Christian who were nothing but hateful.

What I am saying is that if every single person made aneffort NOT to hate instead of indulging in their hatred, the whole world would be a much better place.

Artemis - Hate is a byproduct of fear and anger, which are also byproducts of our desires and our uncertainty.

Which means it has very little to do with what a person upholds as their ideals and everything to do with how a person behaves and feels.

People hate because its easy, because emotionally it seems like the correct thing to do. In the end it only promotes a viscious cycle.

I believe the highest ideal for a human is to free their mind of such things. To be at peace.

I dont hate anyone. Neither will I can evil good. As a Chrsitian I know that we (all the people of the earth) are to obey the commandments of our righteous Father Jehovah . When we see people blatantly and willfully disobeying the commandmnets of the Creator it makes us both sad and sometimes angry. We must speak up about it because we do not want to see anyone perish in their sin. It is out of love that Christians rebuke sin, not hate. Political Correctness says that we are the hate mongers when in reality Christians are the recipients of hate world wide at the moment. More Christians have been killed for their faith in the last 100 years than in the 2000 years before. We expect it as Jesus himself said...

Luke 6:22 Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man’s sake.

John 15:18-19 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

1 John 3:13 Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.

The problem with any religion or lack there of, is that everyone thinks that their beliefs are right. Tolerance of other peoples beliefs is very low on this site. Very few people here respect other peoples beliefs and opinions. While I personally feel a lot of peoples beliefs are downright silly, I respect their right to have their beliefs. I would appreciate it people would respect my right as well.

People fear what they don't understand, and they hate what they fear. There can never be love when there's no trust, and fear of someone is a lack of trust in them. If people can learn to not be afraid, the hatred will stop.

I am not hating anyone as a Christian. Because my savior loved His enemies and even prayed for them. I want to follow HIS steps.

I love you all and I want you all to know about the Truth (Jesus Christ).

"I want to share the good news with all of you about the Christ crucified"

As a Christian, hatred towards me is to be expected. Christ warned me about this in His Word.

It's not that I like it.......but it is a part of the territory when one submits himself to God.

Unfortunately, God's Word is miscontrued as hatred to those who do not know Him personally like we do. God loves us.....which is why He sent Himself in the likeness of man to die for us.

Edit:
I love all people......I just hate sin.

I think you were just trying to see how many times you could fit the word "hate" into a post. Nice job, I stopped counting after 10.
