Okay, so there are some atheists that insist on scientific proof of God before they will even consider believing.

Take this factor into consideration.

Are the rules of scientific evidence absolute and infallible?

For instance, 1000 years ago, how many people would have believed that there was scientific evidence to justify that the earth is round? Most scientists in those days would have laughed because there was no proof of the earth being anything more than just a flat earth.

So, is it just possible that proof is not there because you are limiting your lack of proof to current scientific thought? Is it just possible that the evidence is there, but the scientific community refuses to believe the evidence?

And please...don't answer this question with turning this question around on me...I've seen those answers 100s of times on here.

If the sacred rite of marriage (between a man and a woman, of course) can be completed drive-thru style, then why not the sacred rite of baptism? Is it because the Christians in this country would make a huge issue of it and rebel via their votes come the next election?

Also, do you think that Christians oppose equal marriage rights for gays because of a desire to protect the supposed sanctity of marriage, or because of pure bigotry?

I have a ton of secualr stuff (santa, reindeer, snowpeople, etc) However, I am looking to add Christian themed decorations to my collection to decorate with this year. Christian stores are just so expensive anymore because the mass merchandisers rarely carry religious themed Christmas things. Is there any artsy stuff I can do that isnt too time consuming an expensive for a one income family? Thanks in advance for your help!

What version do you like the best? My 'daily reader' is an ESV, so I'm tempted to get that, but I'm not that crazy about the only recorded reader of it, Max McClean.

I'm on Audible right now and there's the unabridged NT read by Johnny Cash! Isn't that cool? It's the NKJV which is fine, though I'd prefer the ESV.

Do you have recommendations for what your favorite version is? Thanks!

My Sunday school teacher says that "once saved, is not always saved." He says that Christians can loose their salvation. Is this true? Can we loose our salvation? Please provide a verse or details in your answer. I'd like to present these ideas to him. Serious responses only, please. Thanks in advance.

I'm in middle school and I was brought up and raised to be catholic. Most of my friends are catholic or christian. Usually I don't show my belief in public school, only at the Sunday school where i can express it freely whithout being harassed. I want to show God I love him and I am not afraid to be a strong believer, but alot of ppl out there would break me down if I mentioned as much as a phrase from the Bible. I know because that's happened to me before when I asked a question about showing my reliogn and alot of ppl told me I should just shut my trap and go with the flow of the athiests. I just don't know what to do, and I feel frightened to express my feeling anywhere else because of prior experiences. I love God, but I don't know if it's ok to show it. My spirit has been broken.

she told me that some of the trauma i went through last year was cause by someone wishing bad upon me, like the evil eye. She said that in order to break it she would have to use certain stones and ribbons?!! Has anyone heard of this? Also, she said she would tell me who it was that did this to me. Of course this comes with a price. But does anyone believe in this? She was accurate on most things she said.
